I have lots of different golf speakers. I started with the Anker that fits in a cup holder, and that was my goto for a long time due to the small size and adequate sound. Once I figured out I could keep it in a koozie, it was a very easy choice. Then I was gifted a bushnell model that had magnets. I enjoyed the better sound. Then upgraded to the BlueTees+ but the battery life was terrible and the sound wasn’t really balanced. For some reason, this Upside unit sounds so much better than all of them. I’m testing battery life this weekend. I hope to get three rounds out of it. I’ll report back. I don’t really care about price. ... show more

I've had at least 6-7 different Bluetooth speakers in my golf cart over the last few years. This speaker sounds much better than anything else I've ever heard. Bass is rich, voices and instruments are clear. Haven't run the battery out yet so I can't say how long it lasts but I've managed 54 holes with it without having to recharge. Plus this thing gets so loud you're not going to play it anywhere near full volume on the course so that should help battery longevity. There's an equalizer button that switches between 3 modes. I haven't figured out which equalizer button color coincides with each setting but for what it's worth I think the setting that lights up the green button sounds best. Great speaker! Give it a shot. I can't see anyone being disappointed with it. Also, I've used the JBL Charge 5 as a golf cart speaker. It may be a better speaker overall but that's up for debate and the JBL just rolls around in the cart. That gets really annoying after a few holes. The magnet on this speaker is really strong and convenient to stick on the cart roof arm. I used a tiny hex wrench to tighten the bolts on the magnet on day one and it's been amazing ever since. ... show more

Amazing sound out of this box!! However, out of the box the battery never charged > 60% (according to my Pixel phone) and on the first use, the battery died after about 2.5 hours. I had it on the USB-C charger for a couple of days, so it definitely had the opportunity to charge up. I'm returning for a replacement with the hope that it was just a defective unit. Love everything about this company, from the product itself to their company's customer service. Liked the XL so much I bought an additional as a backup. I originally purchased to use on a golf cart but the magnet is strong, the battery is great and the sound is clean even with the subwoofer so I use it everywhere! Recently the magnet pulled out of the speaker and wouldn't screw back in, the Amazon return was expired so I reached out to their customer service and they hooked me up np, even contacted me back on a Sunday afternoon! I ordered a few different speakers to test out and ended up returning all of them except the Upside Super XL Pro. It has a great sound. I especially like the fact that I can pair two speakers together. We use this at our campground and allows us to keep the volume lower at night since we have two speakers playing on each side of the campfire. Our neighbors appreciate it and friends love the sound quality. We attach them to the golf cart magnetically when we go tooling around the campground.
