Get a second base rather than a second car seat. This works great. Uppababy is a quality brand.

It's a bit pricey just for a base, but when it comes to the first grandchild, I guess I need to buy it if I'm going to be able to drive him around. Sturdy. Always recommend to have a certified car seat fitter install it in your car - too many are installed incorrectly!
