I've used this rotary hammer for about eight hours now, chipping out over 600 lbs. of 1940's tile and cement from a bathroom; - it's done everything I've needed it to and is still hammering on. I chose this rotary hammer over others in this price range because I liked the design of the quick release chuck adapter, and the single mode switch (vs two mode switches on some other drills). A few comments (nothing worth knocking a star off the rating): 1. The quick change keyless chuck was jammed in the full open position when I received it. I couldn't free it by hand, even when clamped in a vise. Only by gripping the chuck while operating the drill in hammer drill mode was I able to free it up, and then I had to cycle it open/closed a number of times before it would work without sticking. It still doesn't open & close smoothly, but it's workable. 2. The orange knob that is tightened to fix the depth stop fell out after about three hours of hammering. I lost its nut in the rubble. I recommend removing the knob and nut unless you're actually using it for drilling. 3. I've found that the 'Chisel Position Adjustment' mode won't free up the bit for manual rotation after a lot of hammering. I have to switch to hammer drill mode, then use the drill to free up the bit. Only then can I rotate the bit by hand. ... show more

The package arrived early. Comes with a good case along with several drill bits and chizels as well as bit lubing grease. The drill is fairly heavy as it should be for hammer drilling. I had to drill into concrete to mount a safe and it took under a minute to drill each hole for the anchor bolts. Very good value for the price since it only cost me $20.00 more than renting one for four hours. ... show more

I’ve never needed one of these before, but it was cheaper than having someone drill the 3/4” holes in concrete I needed. After the first few, I just sank them like I knew what I was doing. This is NOT some cheap, flimsy power tool. The first impression was that this a big, and heavy tool. I bought this to drill holes in concrete and masonry, to install handrails, and needed a hammer drill. This product did not disappoint. Perhaps my other drills would have done the job, but it would certainly have taken a LOT longer! A few observations: It comes with the necessary basics, and it was all fits in a nice black plastic case. I wouldn’t call the case heavy duty, but it’s certainly sufficient for my purposes, which are minimal - occasional home use. The adjustable second handle is very solid and makes you comfortable that you have control of the tool. Unfortunately, the large trigger makes it too easy to inadvertently press the trigger and start the drill, which happened to me several times - poor human factors design, and dangerous. Documentation leaves much to be desired, but that’s true with a lot of things made in China. ... show more

I went to rent a large Rotary Hammer Drill for what I thought would be a 1 day job...... My first mistake lol . None available for days at any local Rental spot ...and I called 7 !!! Not to mention the cost of the rental plus bit would be ridiculous so I looked for a cheap possible throw away option . Forward to finding this gem , the upgraded version was on sale and it had a few decent reviews so why not ... It is heavy for sure but it did the job . I did have to push a little bit more than usual to keep the 4' coring bit from seizing but once I did ...WOW! I made short work of several 3 course wall holes and the Chisel function worked very well also ... A throw away I don't need to throw away …That's a serious win in my book! ... show more
