The fact that this door latch has TWO locking mechanisms is a great improvement. Our cargo/car hauler is 14 years old and sits most of the time. The desert heat has done a number on the door, slight warp. We were down to one key for locking and had a second one cut with a locksmith and with no guarantee that it would work. Unfortunately, we forced that key and were unsuccessful in getting it free. This new lock not only has the deadbolt but locks the striker too. Need to lock both separately, which I don't mind doing. Super easy to install, just make sure everything is positioned correctly

The deadbolt part of the original door handle failed, locking me out of my camper. It was miraculous it opened on one last try. I took it apart and found what is supposed to be a security feature was also the failure point. If the deadbolt fails, it isn't simply a matter of drilling out the lock cylinder. Thought about getting the same brand, but thought better of it after reading the reviews. The identical one was priced twice what this new one cost. Basically the only difference is the key. The higher priced one has the laser cut. This one has teeth on both sides of the key.

I had been pricing and debating new door handles for such a long time and I am a cheap skate so I kept putting it off until the door handle broke then I had to oblige and buy new ones. I got these on a 54% off sale and I am so unbelievably happy with them that it's a daily topic of conversation with my partner and I about how nice the doors close now and how good the chrome looks on the trailer. Super easy install only took about 20 minutes to change both handles. I highly recommend these for anyone's trailer! You won't be disappointed

This was put on the door of a 2017 Forest River Wildwood. Working just fine. We did have an issue with the lock hanging up and not wanting to actually lock, but after spraying some WD-40 on the internals it works just as it should. I'm sure any grease would work and if it starts hanging up again I'll use some red tacky grease (for vehicles) on it. Grease would probably last longer than WD-40, just so you know. Other than that little hiccup, all is good.
