Great upgrade for the price!

This nozzle is a huge upgrade to the stock nozzle. It does take a few extra calibration tests and printing at higher temps(I've found 225-235 for PLA to be ideal as opposed to 195-205). As long as you change your nozzle type in the settings on the Kobra S1 menu, it will take you through all of the calibration tests again and function just as good if not better than stock. It heats up way faster, can handle more abrasive materials, and it a lot less of a headache than trying to keep the stock nozzle clean and in good shape. Included the catalyst of my hot end upgrade - the stock nozzle absolutely overflowing with green PLA after a bad clog. This ceramic hot end is a huge upgrade!

Waste of money

I should have paid attention to the reviews. A guy on facebook keeps encouraging people to buy these. They worked great for 2 prints and then no filament will move through them. Cleared all clogs, ran a filament extrude, then nothing would move through the nozzle. Both hotends did this on both printers. Complete trash!

I can't say enough about this hot end. It heats up really fast and works great. I installed it on my kobra S1 and use the hardened steel option on the printer. using the preinstalled .04 nozzle my prints turn out fantastic.

Fit perfectly no modifications needed. Ordered a second one to be able to use .6 mm and .8 mm nozzles. The original you cannot change the nozzles. This upgraded one you can which is great. Very impressed. I was skeptical when I was looking for replacements, but trusted the reviews. Glad I did. It arrived overnight and with all extra nozzle sizes, boots, and even a wee wrench. Easy install and it really does heat up in about 30 seconds. It does seem to go a few degrees over the set temp.at heat up, but does cool down to actual printing temp without any hassle. The hotend doesn't seemed bothered by high temperatures or high speeds, as it's currently printing PETG at 230°C in Sport mode. Only just started my first print with this replacement hotend, but it's made a great first impression and I plan on buying more as backups so if there are clogs in the future I can just swap out and fix/clean at leisure while still being able to print.

Failed after around 40 hours with black PLA

Heats up really fast and prints well. Installation was a little bit easier than the standard hot end for the Kobra S1. I have used the 0.4 mm for about 40 hours of printing using black PLA and it started to have problems. I took it off and found this. I hope it’s just a fluke but I don’t think I’ll be buying this again.
