Does what it needs to do

This product definitely helps and makes the job easier, but it’s far from perfect and still has plenty of room for improvement. The biggest issue is the thin metal piece that pushes the product. It bends and shifts too easily, making it difficult to keep everything properly aligned. When parts slip out of position, getting them aligned again can be frustrating. The safety mechanism also tends to pop out unexpectedly, and adjustments are not as easy as they should be. The spring is strong enough for basic operation, but not quite strong enough when working with products that are softer or tend to shred under pressure. That said, despite its shortcomings, it does get the job done. It’s certainly easier to use than doing the same task without it. With a sturdier design, thicker metal components, and a few engineering improvements, this could be an excellent product. As it stands, it’s useful, but not as refined or user-friendly as it could be. ... show more

This company is by far the best company that I have ever used on Amazon. The machine is an absolute fantastic unit. We are old people, and it was a bit too tedious for us. But my son came over and took a look at the machine and went crazy for it on Thanksgiving. He took the machine, and called me last night and told me that he made a giant pot of stew, and cut all of his vegetables in the machine. He works in a restaurant, and he says this machine is better than the one that they use. You can’t go wrong by buying from this vendor. Awesome kraut cutter!

This worked awesome for cutting kraut, I couldn't keep up with it! It was easy to clean, not like the old fashioned cutter I used to use! This used to be 2 man job, I bought this and was able to do 125lb of cabbage myself in just about 2 1/2 start to finish including the clean up. I found it worked better with the front hairs off, it would tend to better plugged off you didn't stay on top of it. ... show more
