After only 30 minutes of play the unit is very hot and freezing up. There is also problems with both controllers periodically not working for a few seconds. I have the unit in the open and even put a fan on it which got us about 5 more minutes of play before it overheated and stopped working. I will be returning this unit. It is possible I just received a bad one. It does have a lot of games but they don't work very long.

i've had this for a couple weeks now and overall im pretty impressed, personally. there ARE a few shortcomings, but it's worth the $40 or so price tag. the short comings are pretty minor. the included controllers have to be the worst quality ever. very flimsy and loose. just enough to let you enjoy the system out of the box. i would guess they're upgradable. another minor irritation is that mine wont turn off. there is an option in the menu to turn it off but it just restarts the little device. once you plug it in, it's always on and ready to play. all you have to do is switch to the correct input on your tv and wake up the controller. the other thing i noticed is that they left out the space bar on the qwerty keypad for searching but left the caps lock. the searches don't seem to be case sensitive, but they ARE sensitive to spacing between words in a title. instead of searching for two words in a title, you have to pick one key word and hope it gets you where you wanna be. As you begin to find your favorite titles, you can collect them onto a favorites list that makes them way easier to find when you want to play. and there are a TON of titles! i've found most of my favorite old games from nintendo and sega genesis and even playstation. I cant believe how many game platforms they managed to cram into this thing. for anyone who loved games from the 1970's on, this thing will be a great gift. no need for internet or downloading or anything like that. just set it up and start digging thru the masses of games.

This retro stick is a blast. Setup was super easy. I plugged it in, turned on the remotes, and everything synced right up. The game library is huge. I enjoy browsing through and revisiting old favorites. Great buy if you want something simple, nostalgic, and fun.
