I'm writing this review almost a year (11 months) since I put this on my 2015 Ram ED. I would intermittently get the CEL for "engine temp not getting up to operating temp". I will say that this part fits well and fixed my problem completely. Gets up to temp much quicker and coolant temp stays in the 190-210 F range very consistently. Much better than the OEM plastic thermostat. If you're on the fence, I would say defintely give it a shot. Of note, I just replaced my coolant bypass tube tonight which is what made me think of this. The Tstat is still bone dry and sealed well to the housing. Don't waste your money on the OEM garbage.

I wasn’t sure if this would be the right one, since my year of wrangler JKU is a half year model where they changed to the new JL model and sometimes Amazon says it won’t fit on some stuff when it does. Well this fit good and looks great, I have no leaks and the burp valve was also aluminum. Supposedly that has had issues on other units sold that might leak and your advised by other buyers to keep your original plastic air burp valve just in case. Well mine worked fine and all is working great. Delivery was also fast! I had bout another prior that was the black plastic one that was never delivered? Right now the manufacturer has a 2 month back order on thermostats so tht wasn’t goi g to work. I decided to gamble with this nice looking unit and it’s awesome! I’m glad I bought it. You will be too. Get yourself one of these. Also bought the funnel air burp kit to make sure there’s no air pockets in my cooling system. I would suggest you do that as well when changing one of these thermostats and have overheating issues. This way you get the thermostat replaced and also cure any possible air trapped in system issues at same time. Note: if you do get the funnel kit for burp g air out of your system, I also found that raising the front of the Jeep so that the radiator cap side is the highest point in your system is recommended. This makes sense to me. This was an excellent purchase and I wish you luck if you are overheating and need to do this process too. It worked for me, jeeps now tuning around 208 to 226°F in heavy traffic without the temp gauge even moving at all. So the jeeps overheating issue is now fixed!

Worked great on 3.6 pentastar, 2012 caravan 3.6 and 2014 Durango limited AWD 3.6. Just wish the bleeder screw wasn't plastic I bought a copper replacement for the plastic screw

Why the manufacturers continue to use the crappy plastic parts when the metal counterparts aren't expensive is beyond me. We've had to replace numerous plastic components that have failed with exact same metal version because the plastic part crapped out. I wish they made cars to last like they used to. Cars aren't the same as let's say a cell phone. They shouldn't be made to be disposable and need to be replaced every how many years. I know it's not part of the actual piece review, it just burns my biscuits that we are held essential hostage by the automotive industry this way. And we take care of our vehicles, purchasing what we can afford not necessarily what we want, praying they last as the older we've gotten the cars are as much as purchasing a home used to be. This part was the exact same part, perfect fit, and made to last!!

Product seemed great to replace plastic with metal right? WRONG!!! My Ram started throwing coolant systen codes 2 weeks after we put it on. Gets better, the metal can't regulate the temperature so then it overheated & threw an oil code. I've had zero issues with this truck until this part! Do your research.
