Not only does it read the cook temp.. but you can connect up to 4 of the ChefsTemp wireless probes to the S1 as well.. and it will display the Internal Temp of one of the probes!!!!! ANNNDDDD... the S1 control a fan!!!! This system has turned my Oklahoma Joe's Bronco drum and my homemade drum smoker into 2 set it and forget it smoking machines!!!! The S1 runs off of both Bluetooth and WIFI... and sends a signal to their app. From the app you can monitor temps and completely control your cooking temps.... from ANYWHERE as long as the S1 is connected to wifi and your phone has service!! An absolute game changer for bbq and smoking meat!!!! Super easy to connect and set up.. simply follow the onscreen, step by step instructions from the app!!! Functionality is absolutely flawless!!!! Great customer service!!! They even have a Facebook group where users share experiences and recipes. And there are a few customer service people that hang out in the group as well. The ChefsTemp s1 is a grilling/smoking game changer. It was super simple to install, the app is easy to navigate, and really accurate out of the box. Turns your grill and smoker into a smart unit that you can monitor from anywhere on your phone with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. It’s looks great and nice to have a digital thermometer to replace the stock analog ones. I will be ordering more to put on all of my grills and smokers. I also ordered their Breezo fan that can be controlled from the app that operates off of the S1 temperature reading. ChefsTemp hit a home run with this device

Simple set up, super easy to install, fit right in the thermometer spot on my Oklahoma Joe bronco. And super simple to use. Works on Bluetooth or WiFi which is great when you’re not around the pit. Works great, and the wireless probes are pretty cool too. I have a barrel smoker and I will be adding the breezo fan to pair with this soon.

This unit has great range thanks to WiFi connectivity and the temperature was very accurate. Installation and bluetooth / wifi connections were very simple. The free app is very easy to use and shows you a graph of temperature over time.

Battery life is so short. 12 hours of charging requires you to remove it from the grill. Then after reattaching to the grill, battery quits within 2 hours. This is a significant issue if doing low and slow for 6+ hours. Considering that we BBQ 3 times a week, I consider this to be virtually unusable for average griller.

Great grill thermometer. Replaced my offset rotisserie thermometer with the S1. Works perfect, easy to use with large display to easily read temps. And I can monitor pit temp will my phone.
