  • Cool Shelter

Very pretty and I like the shape. California demands great products like this

  • Attractive and Durable
Color: Turquoise
Very pretty and protective, with its dual layer construction. I love the gray sun protection layer under the beautiful light teal outer rain top. This does add a bit of heft & weight to the item, so this is not exactly a tiny travel umbrella. So far this has held up well in a moderate windy rain, and I am glad to have it as my car umbrella. The construction is very durable, and the popup button is exceptional & fast. It has a very comfortable handle. Now this durability may be noticeable when you try to close this. It does take some strong effort, and the umbrella does have quite a bit of bulk. There is no channel around the handle to hold the end points, so you basically wrap everything into a circle and apply the velcro holding strap. That's my only disappointment; this umbrella is so functional yet is not a sleek design when folded and stored. You need two strong arms and quite some effort to close it after use. The hook & loop fabric tie that matches the umbrella fabric is generously sized, so you don't have to wrap your umbrella in a vacuum to get it to close. Some umbrellas the tie is so short, would it really be that much more to spare an inch and add a little more hook & loop material? You shouldn't need to roll it under pressure and sit on it to close it. Luckily, with this one, you just grab the tab, twist and close, and you're done. I'm not sure if it's the material where water pours right off, but it was very quick to dry. It did not seem to hang onto moisture the way that some umbrellas do. As the item states, you can use this also to keep the sun off your back. See above what I mentioned about cradling it on your shoulder, it would work too. Definitely has better coverage than my straw hat. Or just take care of outdoor tasks in the morning or evening if possible so you don't have to risk sun/heat stroke. It is very likely coated in PFAS. No mention of it on the listing, but the vast majority of waterproof materials are indeed coated with this and you need to actively search for products that state they do not use PFAS in their material. It is worth taking this into consideration, as these chemicals are forever pollutants and poisoning every part of the globe. It is totally unavoidable. If the manufacturer of this product were willing to disclose and/or update the material to be pollutant-free (maybe a silicone coating instead?) then I would GLADLY obtain a replacement for this umbrella from them. Do silicone umbrellas exist? They should. Read more Helpful Report Steebo 5.0 out of 5 stars Great sun blocking umbrella and very sufficient at keeping you dry during rain. Good price. Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2025 Color: BlackAmazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? ) Nice umbrella for both rain or shine. Its more designed for sun protection and is a more compact size when not opened. The sides don't come down really far like they would with a rain focused or golf umbrella. For shade its ideal and blocks just about every bit if sun the universe can throw at you. It works in rain and does repel water. Fold up is very easy and it has a smaller footprint than many other umbrellas. I can keep it in my car under the seat and never even know its there till I need it. My wife can keep in her larger sized purse when she thinks she may need to take it along. If you want a good multipurpose umbrella (sun and rain) this is a good option. If you want a good sun blocking umbrella this is a rock star. If you want a good rain blocking umbrella this is sufficient but there are other options out there that block rain better due to being bigger size. Helpful Report Tracou 5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely blocks the rays! Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2025 Color: BlackAmazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? ) This is a really nice, thick umbrella! It's no so thick that it's heavy, it's just thick in a way that the sun doesn't really come through much at all! The shade is a really good quality and not a thin material. It comes with a nice carrying bag so you can keep it wrapped up in your car. On the handle there is a button, when you take the velcro off and press the button, the umbrella pops open fully! The handle is a little on the shorter size, but that's usually the case with umbrellas like this. To close it, you press the button again and it mostly closes it. You still have to push it down all the way to the end, and of course rewrap and apply velcro. It fits easily back in the bag! No struggling! Honestly, even though it's just over $20, for it being as sun blocking as it is, I think it's a really great umbrella. ... show more

  • Nice and compact water hero
Color: Black
I ordered this to keep in my car...for those just in case downpour moments that catch us off guard. I like how compact the umbrella folds up, and the velcro strap around the outside is a nice touch. It also seems sturdy as I open and close it, which is usually how I tell how well an umbrella is made. This one seems quite good. Overall, this is exactly what I expected when ordering an umbrella, so am satisfied with this product. Recommended. I didn't really order this for the cooling effect that the umbrella offers, as I like in a location that doesn't get a lot of hot, sweaty days. Usually it's pretty fair, but there is a lot of rain. I'm happy to say that it works great for the rain. ... show more

  • Surprisingly nice umbrella
Color: Turquoise
I have not tested this in windy conditions, but I have yet to find an umbrella that can absolutely withstand serious winds. I wouldn't hold that against this one. Fifth star will only be obtainable from me if an umbrella can actually hold up to strong winds, and I will update this rating if it turns out this one can. I just haven't had the opportunity to test yet. Everything else about this umbrella is lovely. I love the light colors (I got the metallic and light blue one). It came in a really nice matching carrying bag, and not one of those clear plastic vinyl ones that you'll never fit the umbrella back in after purchasing. This bag is roomy enough to put the umbrella back after use. The metallic fabric is a very silky soft poly material that caught me off guard. An umbrella someone would enjoy touching? One that doesn't sound like you're unrolling vinyl furniture covers every time you open it? I was not expecting to say "ooh" when I opened it. The balance to it is nice. I used it while weeding in light rain, and I was able to prop this in the nook between my shoulder and neck, balancing it on my back while I was weeding. The handle did not get in the way of my work. I did not have to keep adjusting it to stay in place. It probably would not do that in wind, unless you could find a way to strap the handle down to your chest so it remains cradled on your shoulder, if you do need it for hands-free operation. I am still not desperate enough to get an umbrella hat, but this works, and covered my entire back. The umbrella was easy to fold up. You MAY need to push the middle against a hard surface to properly snap it closed. Simply pulling it down is not enough to get it to latch, unless you're a bodybuilder. As a gardener, I have pretty good upper arm strength, and I thought the resistance was unreasonable for the average user of umbrellas. The button to pop it open was much easier. The hook & loop fabric tie that matches the umbrella fabric is generously sized, so you don't have to wrap your umbrella in a vacuum to get it to close. Some umbrellas the tie is so short, would it really be that much more to spare an inch and add a little more hook & loop material?
