This is a very heavy, strong and secured bed frame. It will last forever. It is easy to put together with tools included.A concern I have are the super thin slats are about 6" apart. Should be about 4". I purchased a heavy duty rubber and felt rug pad and velcroed it to the bed frame so the mattress wouldn't #1 sag between slats over time with weight on it, or #2 slide around as someone gets on or off. The mattress sits right on top of the frame. There is no ridge/lip that holds the mattress in place. Thus, minus a star. But that's what I get for trying to economize over a mattress frame. You get what you pay for. This frame is for a guest bedroom so there will not be a whole lot of use. I would be sending it back if it was a kids room where they are flopping down or jumping on the bed. ... show more

Are you heavy? Fat? Does your personal life require certain durability 'considerations?' Just stop looking now because your search has brought you to the last place you need to be: here. I've been a bigger man for almost the entirety of my 40 years and even if I were thin, I'd still prefer a partner to be on the heavier side. That said, I've purchased 'heavy duty' platform frames before and all of them are loud. All of them just feel inferior and eventually they all pop welds. Some are easier to assemble than others, and some require no assembly at all. The one thing they all seem to have in common are this: larger folks have to be really careful or their beds will get LOUD. I modified a bed once to support the mattress because I loved the frame, but even modified, wood platform beds kind of suck for heavier folk. A good welded steel frame is the best option. Enter this platform: it's heavy duty, it's SUPER simple to assemble (it comes with all the hardware and tools you need, but if you have your own I'd recommend using your good tools), and so far it's felt truly SOLID. I am not going to try, but I'm confident you could park a small car on the frame without it collapsing or breaking welds. I've had this platform for only 8 days and set up for 7, but I've tested the durability twice and we rated it 50/50. And another once we gave it 34/33/33. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed! I will edit this after I have had it for a year but honestly, I can already tell this is going to be the last platform I'll need to buy for a very long time. ... show more

The legs get folded easily. I'll walk into my bedroom and the legs are at a crazy slant, there's no structural support to keep them straight in place. There's also nothing to keep the mattress from sliding around either, I've seen some bed frames at least include sticky tape to put on the frame slats. The directions were either wrong or the wrong screws were included, took extra time to dissemble and put back together. Bed basically sucks ... show more
