I've been using another brand of cleanser like this one for years,, but didn't like the way it made my hair smell. This one here smells awesome!! If this type of hair cleansing is new to you, remember, a LITTLE product is all it takes. I have very fine hair. It works great on fine hair if you use only a small amount. Remember, its not shampoo, and it doesn't lather. Rinse it out of your hair well. It will leave your hair soft, and no additional conditioner is needed. It does take a little getting used to, if you've never used this type before, but I've been using it for years now, and I love it. Small amounts, and rinse very well. Occasionally I've used one of my salon shampoos, and my hair is rough, and tangled. This type here leaves your hair combable, and soft. I've tried to get friends to give it a try, but they wont because it "doesn't lather ", lol. And yes, it does cost some $$, BUT, this bottle is huge and you only use a very small amount so it will last forever. And btw, the pump does work. Took me awhile to figure it out, but all you do is pull up on it, and turn counterclockwise, and voila, it pops right up ! Give it a try, its different but you will love it. ... show more

I have really oily, thick hair, and all of the "cleansing conditioners" I tried throughout the years never actually cleansed my hair. I got a sample of this stuff once and took it on vacation with me to give it a try. I didn't think anything of it but oh my god, this stuff is actually so good. It's particularly good when you are on a beach vacation and you don't want to wash your hair every day, but you also want to get it wet and rinse all of the salt and chlorine out. It actually cleanses my very oily scalp and leaves my hair looking as fresh as if I cleansed it with my regular shampoo. It doesn't strip your hair as badly either, so I have less frizz after using it (in comparison to regular types of shampoos). I now have very colorful hair dye and of course, this stuff still stands up. Doesn't strip the color away, keeps my scalp nice and balanced and healthy. Never thought I'd be a fan of this type of thing but it is a MUST for beach vacations and a staple in my shower. ... show more

I loved biolage’s cleansing conditioner, but it was discontinued, so this is my 2nd favorite. The actual product is great (5 stars)—it has a light pleasant scent & doesn’t weigh down my very fine hair; I have fashion color hair (pastels in this pic) & sometimes only see little color rinse out, whereas w/olaplex or redken acidic bonding shampoo & conditioner sets, I see a significant amount of color rinse out every time. It keeps my hair soft, but my stylist always uses olaplex during my service—which makes a huge difference. Keep in mind, like most cleansing conditioners or co-washes, it doesn’t lather & make sure to thoroughly rinse it out. If your hair is very dirty then you should you wash it twice. I definitely recommend it, My issue is this is my 2nd purchase on Amazon & both times the pumps were broken, which is annoying, so I took off 1 star. In the future, I’ll probably buy it elsewhere to ensure the pump works. Also the unwash dry shampoo works well; however, beware the scent is very strong! ... show more

I get keratin straightening every few months so I am always looking for sulfate and paraben free products. I don't wash my hair every day but I do wet it and restyle it and Unwash allows me to go over a week without formally washing my hair. It’s gentle but really gets the oils and dirt out!
