The FancyTark Universal Professional Sink Drain Wrench is a tool that most DIYers will need for only a handful of jobs in their lifetime. But when you need it, you need it. The threaded rings that hold drain fitting in place on sinks are almost impossible to tighten with the tools normally found in a handyperson's toolkit. I've seen plumbers use large channel lock pliers or pipe wrenches for the job but those are not ideal either. The cost of this tool is probably justified for even a single use based on the time saved and ability to do the job right. I took off a star because the opening of the wrench was slightly too large for the nut I had. I see that several other reviewers had the same problem. You can make this work with what is apparently a not uncommon drain nut size in the US. But it will be better if you have a wrench that fits correctly.

A very solid all metal wrench for kitchen projects. We are getting ready to redo out kitchen and bar areas and will certainly need this handy wrench. Not that I am looking forward to all the work that needs to be done. but I feel better about the project having all the tools on hand before tackling the counter and sink changeout.

The media could not be loaded. My review of the FancyTark Universal Professional Sink Drain Wrench for Hex Nuts and All 4, 6 and 8 Tab Locking Nuts. I am so glad I got this wrench. Those big lock rings on kitchen sink drains are really hard to loosen and tighten without the proper tool. Well, this is that tool. It does fit a bit loose. I'm guessing that is because it's a universal tool and made for different shapes and configurations. But if you hold it in place it will get the job done easily. The tool has a nice padded grip and it's slightly offset so you can get it up under the sink easier. I have pinched fingers and banged knuckles before trying to get those lock rings on and off and I can tell you, this is the wrench you need. I would recommend this wrench for anyone who needs to replace the drain on a kitchen sink.

This does what it’s supposed to and it helped me a great deal with my kitchen sink drain strainer removal/install. However, for some reason it kept slipping and it just wasn’t sitting securely on the strainer nut. Perhaps that’s just the nature of the beast, but it was a bit of a let down. The overall built quality is solid, and the rubberized grip is a welcome feature.
