Good quality materials, but you have to move the jaw kinda slow to keep your measurements true, also if you bump it. Re-zero and try again. So to be sure I get true measurements, I had to buy another kind. Good luck with yours.

I use this caliper to measure leather thickness so that I can match the correct rivets to the leather thickness for my bag work. I like it so much, right out of the box, that I've been sitting in my workshop measuring all sorts of things for the sheer fun of it. I bought this for two reasons. I wanted one that was a bit longer than the standard 6". Also, I wanted one that had fractional inch measures, not just decimal inches. I know how to convert them, but this eliminates a step that can be annoying when I'm in the middle of a task. It is well made and does what I wanted.

I use this for making arrows where the ID and OD measurements are tiny and require precision. So far, the caliper has been spot on in helping me match components of the arrows. The digital screen is much easier to read than my old caliper. I’d give it five stars except the adjustment wheel feels a little loose; a quality control issue that is minor and does not seem to affect the measurements.
