This is the first change in microphone clips in 50 years! I'm planning to order more. Pros: It is usable with most portable radios The depth gives a small offset to bring the clip forward from other flat surfaces and improves access Cons: I have not found any adhesives which will hold fast on vertical surfaces during high in car temperatures (I use a small screw for attachment) The clip does not fit all microphones due the thicker material as opposed to metal clips Some commercial radios rely on contact with metal at the mic clip to allow radio features to function properly (Motorola) ... show more

    • Perfect relocation mount.
Worked well for my mic relocation. I have a Std Hor vhf. This fit just fine, not sloppy, or too tight. Install too 15mins. Tip; Use the adhesive patch to hold it while you drill out the mount holes if needed. This uses #4 stainless steel screws (2). As that's the hole size.

It fit my any tone 5888 uv mic just fine but it would not stick to my Dash even after giving it a really good cleaning with the alcohol not about the drill holes in my new cars dash . It's residing very comfortably in the garbage can now. Unless you plan to mount it with screws don't bother what a waste of money. ... show more

    • Hanger is worth a try if you need one
It's okay - it's worth trying. It's a bit expensive for what it is. If you can screw mount the holder, you are better off. Eventually the 3M adhesive will fail (it does with me). If it doesn't work then go back to the drawing board.
