They no longer make a replacement rubber bottom seal for my garage door. Water was seeping under the door. I bought this threshold to supplement the existing seal of the door to the bare concrete. I thoroughly cleaned concrete with masonry grinder, cut the rubber seal to the dimensions and secured with clear gorilla glue in my caulk gun . Unroll it flatten it (easy), scoot the skinny end under the garage door from the inside with it closed until it's where you want. Clean the area with a brush, broom and/or strong towel. Then take a pencil and sketch the position. Roll it back. Use one tube of gorilla glue and conservatively spread it the length of the seal on the concrete. Then apply and let sit 24-48 hours. Close the garage door down on it making sure the seal is still where you want it to be. Walk away. Helps keep the water out from sideways rain. Cheers. ... show more

I used a high quality silicone to adhere the product to a VERY well cleaned concrete garage floor. Absolutely no water intrusion now. The only reason for my 4 star rating is that the product is shipped in a fairly tight coil - the innermost part of the coil portion to not lay flat. I had been having issues with water pooling up inside of my garage near the door after heaving rains. No matter the wind direction, there was always some sort of pooling up. Over time it started to expand even more so it led me to believe it was a combination of the poor seal on the garage door itself as well as the slant with my driveway/garage entrance so I took a gamble on this thing. I cut it down to size to span across the entire garage door (plus a lil extra), was easy enough to cut with a pair of scissors. I initially laid it down flat and let the garage door close down on it so I could outline where I needed to set this thing. Once done, I just used a bottle of liquid nails I had laying around from home depot rather than deal with any recommended adhesive (I didnt order the adhesive with my purchase). The liquid nails appears to be holding just fine. I finally had a strong rain storm the other night and there was not a spot of water in my garage so I believe this thing is doing the job its intended to do. I absolutely love it. The only thing that some people may be mindful of is the "curb" it has which may make it more difficult for people with bikes to get in/out. This created a tight seal between the two & dramatically reduced the cold air in the garage.
