They block out plenty of sun and heat while also letting just enough light in for it to feel warm and cozy, giving my space a certain ambiance. I am really eased with these cordless shades. I have always used roll up matchstick blinds that always had a messy cord. These have a nice clean look. No problem installing but did take two people to attach the shade to the mounted hardware. I purchased two and the colors matched. It has a smooth operation going up and down. Beautiful shades. They were very easy to install. My husband installed them in about 5 minutes. I love that they are cordless. They are easy to push up and down and always stay in place. They feel like that are great quality and have held up for over a year at this point. They are also very good with providing shade and privacy. Nice looking and easy to install. Only problem I had was that the threading cord for the up and down movement was detached from bottom of the shade. I ordered 2 shades and each of them had the same issue. I fixed them best I could. Did not send back for they were already installed.
