Handy and portable. I use it in a dump truck. The radio that is in the truck is junk. The rubber duck antenna is like all rubber duck antennas, suboptimal.     • Cheap and defective.
I bought 2 of these for valentines day to extend me and my girls range as we like to hike the North cascades together but like to spilt up a bit a times. Well, I put batteries in the first one and was getting excited (2-13-24) I went to put the batteries into second one and compartment would not close, btteries were all in proper etc. So I said hey, it's the same Radio let me try this battery lid and see whats up. So I discovered a little one of two little connetion teeth or buds were broken off on battery cover on the second radio,so it would not seal. I figured I would just re-order the broke one, but "Behold" when I went to put the other one back on, those buds broke off as well, so both radios were now worthless, and I'm not taping a brand new radio together. I am returning and upset as our valentines trip is ruined now. Waste of monet and toy plastics... In my opinion. ... show more

Small, compact, uses rechargeable or regular AA batteries. Bought it for daughter who spends allot of time traveling. Good to have when you get behind stop and go traffic to know what’s going on up ahead and what lane you need to be in.

Got this one used as a back up for $46, it’s similar to the cobra model I bought. Have to say, the cobra was $10 more, and it’s a much nicer radio. Cobra added weather, and the ability to toggle between channels 9, 19 and the weather, with one button. I compared them both to reception and they both pulled in signals very clearly. The uniden did sound a little better pulling in signals. But it’s a basic radio, no ability to lock in channels, just plug and play. If you’re wanting a cb to do something more, get the cobra, but I’ve got no complaints on the uniden. ... show more
