Bought this item because of the features it has. I like the side bands and weather band features. The sound is clear and with the instructions it is easy to program. I bought this as 'used' but i don't see anything about it that is used, to me it looks brand new, so as far as I'm concerned I got a cracking deal on this. Works well, no issues. I got an Astatic D-104 power mike and used the mic converter cable that came with the radio.

Good CB/SSB radio overall, the only issue I have found is that the radio appears to have left the factory with power outout on AM as 7-8 watts dead key according to my meter (Which can't be that far off on readings). Hooked my amp up to the radio to see what it's dead key output would be and it does in fact over drive my amp, my amps dead key is the full power it's rated for (150 watts), so either I'll end up opening the radio and turning down the output or just run the amp on my old radio! ... show more

Enjoyable unit. Only 1 issue which became a big problem. The on off dial will strip and you will have trouble turning it on. Mine is on always but unplugged. I plug in then it just goes on. No repair i know of.
