For context, I have a tank with American Comet Goldfish, and they're utter vandals (or visigoths, maybe). I like to give them some features in the tank they can engage with. There's a hollow log, which more than half of them could fit in at first. These days they've grown so big that fewer than half of them fit in it at all. They've taken to attacking the air stones, pulling the suction cups off the side of the tank. The jellyfish look good in the tank. They don't "glow in the dark" but I have LED, not fluorescent lighting. They float in a very natural manner in the filter wash. The line (filament) attaching the jellyfish to the floor of the tank suction cups is very fine, almost invisible. I did need glasses to work with it. It's strong, and the vandals have not detached the jellyfish in any way. The line also seems to pose no problem or obstruction for the fish. The jellyfish must have good "mouth feel", since the fish have been chewing on them. They take a few inches of the tentacles into their mouths and nibble the bell or arms. They also pull on the arms and tentacles, and drag them around the tank and through the plants. I've had them for over a month and there's been no damage or loss of pieces. Very sturdy. The alpha female (9", 6oz) really has a go at them and they just bounce right back.

So I bought these jelly’s to add to my tetra tank. And they do glow and look cool but they don’t stay suctioned and that gets on my nerves. After a few hours they become unsuctioned so you have to go back course the rock and re stick or they float to the top of the tank. I’m probably gonna buy some small weights instead of suction cups they come with.

Using all 3 of the plants/coral and 3 of the 6 squids in a 5 gallon-- that plus a couple moonrock hides and this thing is a packed jungle for my platinum halfmoon betta! Favorite point in this set is that the whole structure of the plants above the rock and all but the string attachments on the jellyfish are soft silicone that won't present any danger to his fins. Even the tips of the spiny-looking plants are tipped in a softer bright silicone so just in case he had need to thrash about he'd be safe from a fin tear-- long-finned bettas are very prone to this and usually you can only use real or wire-free silk plants with them for safety reasons. I'm keeping a cautious eye on the strings, thinking about just letting them bob around in the water freely instead since it's low-current for a betta. Only trouble I had was trying to attach the suction cups to the bottom of the back wall-- my substrate is too deep to dig all the way to the bottom to attach them without making a major mess of the bacteria/system of the tank. The trouble with the back wall is probably to do with the way the vents in the back wall that go to the built-in filtration system are placed, though. My betta was scared at first, hid in his moonrock hides, but once I decided to shut the lights off to reduce his stress and just back off he's started slowly exploring his new toys. He just carefully shimmied his way up under the dome of one of the jellyfish and is chillin' there, seeing how he likes it. :D

PLEASE read this before purchase or use of this type of item. I purchased these this past xmas for my nephew he was so excited and wanted them put in immediately. I put two of them in for him, 6 is overkill for a freshwater tank, this isn't finding nemo. Anyways, a couple days later I go to visit and was lookin at them from afar and noticed they were floating around next to each other, very odd looking. So i get up closer and the fishing line that holds them down is wound up together. Irritated but not pissed yet. I told him we should just keep one in there since they both keep fighting, he believed me so that's what I did. Last night I go over for dinner and something wasn't right. Hazy water, docile fish, black loaches glass surfing, even the single jelly fish was leaning towards the side. I went up to the tank and the water was motionless, as I looked into the filter I see the place where the water streams out dry, I pulled out the filter and the jellyfish came out with it. Those tentacles are so thin they can get sucked into the little slots for your HOB filters intake and get tangled in the propellers and kill the filter. He saw me throw that pink one away and the bag with the rest of the 5 with it. He asked "why uncle?" and I said it was stinging too many fish and they were sad, and he said "like Dory?" But he believed me and wasn't upset anymore. Sorry for the long review. Lesson behind the story, have back up filters ready for when these jellyfish tentacles ruin your filter or don't buy these jellyfish at all. But still, always have a backup filter just in case. And in case you have to explain yourself for throwing them away, you're welcome.

We paid for a fish tank and all the stuff but the fish died. Twice. This is a much better option for us right now. We are happy with the jellyfish ! I think I may add some chlorine for even less upkeep. The little strings that attach to the suction cups are a bit tedious. I had to shorten mine a lot. They will tangle if you place them close to each other and leave them long. A bubbler or something that moves the water is also good if you want them to move a lot.
