I’ll start with the good. Great size, sturdy construction. But you get what you pay for. Electric lock does not work. Key pad does what instructions say but the lock actuator only works occasionally. (Like 1 in 5 try’s.) key works fine. 2weeks of texting the help line and the service web site is non existent. No help, no contact. Just pay the extra for the name brand, And save the headache.

When I received the safe the plastic knob had fallen off and the drawer would not open at all. I had to figure out how to get the locking bars into the open position with pliers and other tools. I managed to finally get the drawer to open and I found that the locking mechanism was missing a bolt to hold it and the knob in place which is very cheap plastic. I eventually reassembled the locking mechanism with parts I had in the house which also allowed me to reattach the knob. I read the reviews before buying and was willing to take a chance on the item being a lemon as a good portion of the reviews were positive. Overall the safe is sturdy enough, but due to the low-quality parts, I would not purchase this safe again. There was also a card for a bonus item but the link was broken. Update 10-7-21 Sent me a $25 gift card in the mail.

When I first opened the box, I found the lock release knob inside the plastic on top of safe. When I got the safe out, I found the knob and nut outside the safe and couldn't open the safe. After working on it for almost an hour, I finally got the lock to turn and open the safe. The knob to open had unscrewed and the pieces were all over the inside and outside of the safe. I took the locking mechanism apart and was able to re-assemble the release knob and locking mechanism (lock tight applied during the manufacturing process might stop this from happening!!!) I also found the zippered bag had ripped the zipper off the bag. Hopefully no more surprises in the future!!!

Easy to setup, change the combo, just MAKE SURE you have at least 7.5 inches of vertical clearance under a bed. Will hold rifles, pistols, and stuff. It's heavy duty - I needed help carrying it up the stairs, but that's exactly what I wanted. Not some cheap thin walled thing...

So I've been searching high and low for a budget friendly safe to mount in the rear of my Yukon. This fits perfectly, with less than an inch on either side. It's also small enough to allow my third row seat to fit it. I can fit AR's and SBS's inside together, no issue, as well as other gear. It is low enough to be difficult to spot from the outside. The keypad is very loud when you push buttons, and is not illuminated. This causes some strain in the dark when I need inside. I added motion lights, so when I do get my pin input, they come on when I open the drawer. Also, the provided screws suck. The padding that it comes with is also lackluster, I switched it with some 3/8 horse stall matting, which fits perfectly under the battery compartment inside. No rattling or other sounds are audible while I'm driving. Two spare keys is a nice touch. Overall, this thing rocks, especially for the pricetag! I highly recommend for vehicle use, but measure your space first to ensure that it fits.

The safe is big and heavy. Needed two people to carry it upstairs. Roomy inside, will accommodate couple of rifles and few handguns. I am very happy with my purchase. The only thing which should be done better is the plastic turn knob - cast iron or metal one will be more appropriate and add more security.
