Both mid and deep frames fit well and holds the frames for easy uncapping. Dishwasher safe so cleanup is easy too. Great product. Sure beats the wooden stick with a nail method. Price is spot on for what you get.

As a new beekeeper, I didn’t realize how grateful I’d be for this handy uncapping holder. I made the decision to offer one of my hives another super for brood because they outgrew the lower levels. The ladies decided to turn all of the big frames into honey storage. The frames are so heavy and very hard for me to hold one handed while uncapping. This uncapping holder has nice slots to rest the frame into, stabilizing it while you work. It is very sturdy and made with thick plastic. It feels solid, not cheap or flimsy. Easy to clean with hot soapy water. It’s only about an inch thick so it’s pretty easy to store on a shelf or cutting board holder. I didn’t know it would come in so handy.

It is time to start harvesting honey and if you are a hobby beekeeper, this will make your extraction job simpler. The uncapping shelf is constructed of durable, molded plastic. It fits securely on the rim of an open bucket. Your medium capped frames will set down into the depression securely, allowing you to use your uncapping knife or scraper with one hand while supporting the frame with the other hand. Easily turn the process into a one-person job with worrying about the frame slipping and sliding out from under you. I like to place a plastic drip cloth under the bucket to catch any stray drips and make clean-up a breeze. This is a very inexpensive way to get started extracting honey. When one side is uncapped, reverse the frame, and repeat on the opposite side. The uncapped frame is now ready to go into your extractor. The cappings and honey drips are reserved in the bucket. You can do multiple frames before straining. When you are finished, put the lid on your bucket to keep everything unsoiled and secure. The uncapping shelf lifts off for cleaning. It fits nicely in the kitchen sink and washes clean with soap and warm water. The plastic allows for better sanitation than wooden supports. The design will help keep a messy job under control throughout the process!

Not cheap plastic, feels like a nice build quality. It fit like a glove on our bucket and the one side is fairly easy to clean. The opposite side has multiple channels so, that's a bit harder. No leaks, it has multiple use in my opinion. This could even be used for painting in my opinion.

Very sturdy and well designed. Works well for supporting frames. Easily used. Takes up little storage space. All the grid patterns make it a pain to clean, but most of these things appear designed the same way. Very inexpensive. The item has two rings underneath to fit two different size diameter plastic buckets. I placed it on our decapping bucket and it was a solid fit. We use wooden super frames and plastic frames. The ears of the top bar fit snugly into the holes and the side bar fit into the channel to secure the frame. I was able to hold the frame with my left hand and decap with the other. We use both a serrated knife and a rake. It was easy to use both utensils. I used one of the holes to hold my knife for easy access. The back part of the stand made for a handy platform for the rake when I wasn't using it. The only improvement I'd suggest would be to drill holes in the "platform" where I placed the rake to allow for the honey to drip down into the bucket. I had to keep sweeping it into the channel which had the holes that drained into the bucket. Otherwise it would have dripped off the back onto the table. Overall it is well built, functional, and a good product for the money.
