This is an early review, prior to actually using it. This carafe is adorable. Having said that, I dropped a star from the start because the stated 34 oz is deceptive. I got this one to replace a 6 cup Chemex which is described as a 30 ounce decanter. The Chemex bowl is much bigger than this one and yet the "unbreakable" manufacturer says it holds 34 ounces. The difference is that the Chemex 6 cup holds 30 ounces in the bowl of the decanter. I filled up the "unbreakable" using an 8 ounce measuring cup. I managed to pour in 4 cups and 2 additional ounces however the liquid goes high up in the neck and also fills up the spout and literally spills out. A fair description of this is carafe would state 27 ounces, because that is what the bowl holds without flooding the entire carafe.

I've gone through 2 overpour coffee decanters so far. Neither were this brand. This one is now my third and I am very impressed with the durability of the glass. I've bonked the spout a couple times already and not even a chip. If you don't have a handle on your decanter then I'm telling you, you're missing out. My man loves the handle feature as well. Not only is it nicer to hold the handle rather than holding the neck of the craft, but the spout placement is perfect as well. My only reason for giving 4 stars is because of the filter itself. It filters just fine but the seam of my filter on the inside is slightly open so coffee grounds are always in-between the filter layers no matter how long I spend trying to swish them out in the sink. With that being said, I've started using the natural paper filters for over pour coffee makers and that keeps any more grounds from getting invetween the metal filters layers.

It's so nice making coffee with beans and be environmentally friendly with my process. It's the perfect size for me and my best friend to have a morning cup together and plus a little extra. 😉 (Little tip, you can use your used coffee grounds to do some things like make a body scrub or help deter pests from your plants, look it up)

The design is very pretty; however, I cannot fit my hand in to clean caraf. Poured hot water and it brewed as stated. Only thing is the sediment that creeps through the stainless steel coffee holder. Might have to buy small coffee filters to do away with all the sedement.

We like this product , but find the capacity to be overstated. It is marked as 6 cup capacity but barely holds 4 . Perhaps cup sizes are smaller in the country of origin . Aside from that it does a good job and is a good buy at the price .

Firstly, I don't know why this is called "unbreakable." It's clearly made of very fragile glass. It works very well, though. The metal filter does a really good job of only allowing very fine coffee grounds to get into the brew. After reading reviews here I only have wash the pot to preserve the white markings since they're necessary to know how much water to pour. I'd definitely buy this again if it were to break.

We've been using this pour-over for a few months. Why do I love this over other coffee makers? 1. It's easy to clean as it all goes in the dishwasher. 2. Coffee tastes great! I make it as strong as I like. 3. Easy to put away when not using it, saving counter space! 4. Pour spout doesn't drip. 5. The pour over process is surprisingly relaxing. 6. The pot has an elegant look that I enjoy every day. The only negative is that it's not ideal when you want to brew a big pot or serve a party. My process notes (you do you): I often use a brown paper filter with this setup as noted by other commenters. The stainless-steel filter is fine by itself, but I feel the extra paper layer adds a bit more brew time, maybe? I also put it on a kitchen towel before pouring in hot water from my electric kettle. I learned my lesson years ago making a pitcher of tea with the glass sitting on a cold granite countertop and it shattered! The electric kettle that I have boils a lot of water fast so I can make great coffee plus brew a mug of tea to ice later in the day when I'm working from home. I have had all kinds of coffee makers from percolator to drip to single use pods. I feel this is the best setup for us at home. When our second single use broke down, there was no way I was going to buy another expensive machine. I pulled out the electric percolator. which is OK, but I wasn't completely satisfied with the everyday experience. It's still great for camping. I can't say enough good things about this product!
