Have not seen any roaches or other critters since plugging it in. Just wish it didn't cover both outlets, but not enough to consider it a negative. No audible hum and soft blue glow is a wonderful night light.

As far as I can tell it basically just acts as a night light, does it keep bugs away? Kinda, it helps a little, but not enough to where I would recommend buying.
