The media could not be loaded. I'm using this in my classroom to create mist for a variety of science lessons. Right now, it's perfect for making laser beams visible during our unit on light, but I plan to use it for several other topics too. I've run it for nearly full school days over multiple lessons, and it's worked flawlessly every time—it produces a ton of fog. Using it is as easy as plugging it in and making sure it's submerged. To stop it, just unplug it or lower the water level. The build quality is excellent—heavy, solid construction that feels durable and professional. The only downside: the floats came with just two screws that don’t seem designed for this product. They stick through the floats and are sharp on the ends. Unsurprisingly, with just one screw per float, it doesn’t stay afloat. I plan to swap in my own screws, but for now I just have it resting on beakers in the sink. Not ideal, but it works. It came well packaged, but didn’t include instructions—or the two additional screws the float clearly needs. Still, I’m giving it five stars because the fog output is fantastic. Just a heads up: it will make the surrounding area quite wet, and to get a good mist, it needs to be close to the water’s surface, which can cause some mild splashing. My students were convinced it was dry ice—it was a huge hit. I’m excited to use this for Halloween, and I could also see it being super useful in any situation where you need to keep something moist! ... show more

I got this Ultrasonic Mist Maker 12 Head Mist Maker Fogger primarily for photography effects, so I can create fog/smoke effects when taking model/portrait shots. The unit came with absolutely no instructions - I had to contact the manufacturer , which was easy to do, and they sent me some basic instructions in an email document. The good thing is that one does not really need instructions to make this work - just plug in the cables, place the mist maker in a container with water, and once the water level covers the actual heads, mist /fog is created. I wish that the mist/fog would rise up more, but this machine is primarily for creating it on a horizontal level. It definitely looks cool for Halloween effects, but if you are looking for something that pushes the smoke up vertically, this may not be the right choice. The mist maker looks definitely to have great quality built, it even comes with replacement heads (no instructions though as to when to replace the heads), and it does not to have an issue with the heat level. If you are looking for a mist machine that is durable, then this is a good value. Overall, this fogger allows the user to have creativity - for example, I used it in the bathtub until it was all filled up with mist, let the water drain, and the mist was still there - creating the illusion that there is still water in the bathtub. Then I asked my partner to enter the bathtub for a photo session and the overall effects of her being surrounded by mist are surreal. ... show more

Took a few minutes on how to get it set up. Did not come with instructions. I had to research how to put it together then use it. Probably not the best fit for me as I wanted a mister and this is more of a fogger. Its a shame as I really wanted this to work.

We use these ultrasonic foggers for outdoor holiday displays and they work perfectly for that use. We have a very custom config where we pump chemical "smoke" into a tub, then use these foggers plus dry ice to cool everything down so the combined fog sticks to the ground. For our very custom use, this model produces a TON of fog, which is exactly what we need it to do, so we're very happy with this unit. ... show more

The 12 ultra sonic heads work all together at the same time to generate a consistant mist that can be adjusted to suit your needs. Weather you want a thick fog or just a haze its compleetly customizable. It has clear and simple to understand instructions. So it can work for anyone, even unexpirenced users. You have to keep in mind that it does requiresome maintence and in quieter environments it might be louder than some may like. But all in all its a great choice for anyone looking to enhance their fog effect. Such a cool gadget but I'm not sure if most people really have a need for it. I tend to go over the top on decorating during Halloween so planning to use this in a witches cauldron to generate a flowing smoke. I already use a smaller ultrasonic solution for that, but this one creates way more effect. I like that they made it float, so you don't need to worry too much about the water level and it has an automatic kill switch once the water level gets too low to sustain the reaction. It's easy to use as you just wire it up and throw it in a bucket off water. The build quality of the device is above average and I'm sure I'll get many years of use. Overall a great solution to generate smoke using just water and keeping things safe. If you don't mind the high price tag (approx $100), it's well worth adding to your holiday decor. That being said, if you have an actual reason to atomize water, then this is a great solution to deploy. ... show more
