I bought this humidifier about a year ago. I live in New England and in the winter our forced hot air heat makes the air in our house painfully dry. I have sensitive sinuses and a lack of moisture causes irritation that leads to migraines, so I’m serious about humidifiers. We have small units in bedrooms, but our open concept living space needed humidity and I didn’t want to be bothered with repeatedly refilling multiple small tanks so I’ve been using this 8L one for the first floor kitchen/dining/living room. If I really needed to keep the entire space at 50% humidity, I would probably need to run two, but just running this one constantly at full output is enough to keep the air comfortable when the heat is running a lot, and will get to my 50% shutoff on warmer days when the heat isn’t working so hard. Running at full capacity means I refill 8L every 24 hours or so. I have not used the WiFi/app feature of this as it hasn’t been necessary, it’s simple enough to just press the button and go. I appreciate the minimal floor space this requires, and it is pretty sleek and unobtrusive in my space. It does make a series of beeps when it runs out of water which is helpful. The UV light is very helpful in minimizing bacteria growth and scum in the main tank, but don’t forget to empty and clean the upper tank regularly as you would with any other humidifier. It does its job well with minimal attention from me, which is exactly what I want. After using this last winter it was put away for several months then brought out again in December. It started right up and ran for a couple weeks just fine, and then abruptly quit working and just emitted tiny pulsing squeaks and flashes of the UV light. Upon further inspection I found that the housing right along the edge of the ultrasonic emitter had cracked, presumably letting water into the electronic parts and causing a short. I contacted the seller with this information and they IMMEDIATELY shipped me a new unit. I was very impressed and also very happy to continue being able to use a humidifier that has been working well for me rather than going through the process of picking out a new one. I’m optimistic the flaw in my first one was atypical and that this one will last several years. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Let me start out by saying the package arived intact. My biggest complaint on Amazon is the frustration of their packaging, some boxes come with no packing, others come full in an oversized bag. This arrived as a product box within another outer box, and the manufacturer packaged this product really well. Now, onto the product review which I’ll lauout in Pro and Con format. Pros: this humidifier has probably the largest water resavoir on a portable humidifier market that I have ever seen! (I say portable for reference, i would not recommend moving this unit unless its empty). Another additional pro is the fact that this has wifi connectivity as well as Amazon Alexa compatibility (maybe, not sure that this is officially documented anywhere, more on this later in my review at the bottom). The final pro that I am going to list is the fact that this unit is extremely quiet! While idle, those with extremely good hearing only hear a faint noise, almost like a hum. While running this unit on max spray, adjustable via remote, app, or local control, it is no where near as loud as say a fan on low speed. I would compare the noise level of this unit to that of a portable USB fan perhaps, if you’ve ever experienced one of those before. Onto the Cons: my first major con is the user manual. I found myself reading the manual 4-5 times before turning the unit on to ensure I did not mess anything up as this unit is somewhat expensive, by my standards anyhow, (though it is most definitely worth the cost from my current experience!). After reading the manual, I filled the unit with water which seemed to take forever as it is so large in capacity, and I then proceeded to turn it on. What scared me most about filling the reservoir is my lack if knowledge on exact functionality, after removing the top portion of the unit, the brains so to speak, I was finally able to see where the water drained into the reservoir from the top, (they show filling this 3 different ways which is kind of confusing), and I was comfortable turning it on. The unit went directly into pairing mode and the rest was a breeze. My final con, which is more of a complaint, is the fact that this requires its own different app, or so i thought, please see my further notation below on what I discovered. I have so many smart home apps that I didn’t want to use another one and decided if I could not make this work a different way I just wouldn’t use the smart portion of the product as it has a remote that seems to work great as of now. Side note about the Smart App: as stated above, I was not going to create yet another account to use smart home devices with. I searched in the app store for the “required” app and looked at the photos of the app. It was from here that I had an idea. This app looks identical to the app “Smart Life”, an app I already use, and it works great, and it also links all of my decices to my Amazon Alexa account for smart home usage. Well, instead of downloading their app, out of my curiosity I tried using the “Smart Life” app and got ready to add a new device. I changed my phones network to the one I wanted this particular smart home device on, I always recommend you setup a seperate network with strict firewall rules for safety, and I opened the app after plugging in my humidifier. Well low and behold, what did “Smart Life” do? It automatically recognizes the humidifier and asks me to add and name it, I proceeded, and seconds later, Alexa notifies me of a new device being connected/recognized. So to my amazement, the app “Smart Life” works fantastically with this unit and it even automatically configured the device options like humidity level, timed usage, UV Light function, and a few others that match up with this unit’s functionality. I have no idea if this means that the app they recommend, “Tuya Home” I believe it is called, is a clone or something like that, but I have used the “Smart Life” app and I trust it, and it fully works with this humidifier, so I personally recommend that you try setting it up with the “Smart Life” app as well. I’m not sure what other devices work with the “Tuya Home” app, but the “Smart Life” app works with a wide range from wifi, Bluetooth, and even Zigbee through a hub. Closing remarks: I have only been using this humidifier for 2 days now, and I live in the south where it is very humid 10/12 months here, so this unit will not get a lot of use, but should something happen I will update this review accordingly. (I mainly bought this for night use while sleeping). Finally, I wanted to acknowledge the fact that there is a UV led light in the humidifier, but my concern is if you enable it, and you set a humidity level, the UV light will stay on constantly whether it is running or not, I worry about this prematurely wearing out the UV, as well as since nothing is running through the unit it seems to me like the UV would be useless while idle. So I will update this review should it quit working, but I currently have it off because it only runs about 2 hours a day in the evening right now and I already have a whole home air sterilizer on my central air unit. I gave this unit 5 stars because it functions fully as intended, and the cons are merely complaints that don’t necessarily even effect the unit’s operation.
