Set-up was fairly simple, works well with our LG smart TV. We wanted to replace the “Magic Remote” that came with the TV that has that damnable curser you cannot turn off! The buttons on the remote are well placed and work quickly. The only reason for not giving five stars is that it is big… a bit too big. I know it’s called the “Big EZ” so I should have seen this coming, but it does feel a bit unwieldy in my hand… and my hands are not very small. Other than that, no complaints, works great. Just know that it’s on the large side. Maybe that’s a plus for some. ... show more

    • Two big flaws - otherwise great
The first flaw is that some of the buttons need to be pressed multiple times to work. Second flaw only applies if you use two devices such as a tv and a streaming box. While in "aux" mode for the second device, the power button doesn't work. The only way to turn the power on/off is to press the correct tv button and then the power button will work. I called the manufacturer's customer service who verified there no other way to turn the power on/off. The extra steps aren't difficult, but it's a pain to have to do that every time. Also IT DEFEATS THE PURPOSE of big buttons!!! Since to turn the tv off, you have to find the correct tv-type button which is one of the very small buttons, press it, and then press the power button. To turn the tv on and use your streaming box, you need to be sure the correct (very small) tv button is pressed, then press the power button, then find and press the very small aux button -- now you are ready to use the big buttons. So this clearly isn't good for an elderly person or someone with poor vision. That's a deal-breaker. HOWEVER, if you are only using this to directly control a tv, this second flaw is a non-issue, but the first flaw (buttons not always working) remains for everyone. ... show more

Lightweight, easily paired with multiple brands of TV. The buttons are easily seen and used by anyone. The white colir makes it easy to find and distinguishes itself from most other remotes that are black.

This item, unfortunately I ordered it thinking it would be perfect for us as we have trouble seeing our remote at night unfortunately it did not work for us so I said it back. And ended up

Easy to use and set. Missing a “voice” button, but much easier to use than the one that came with the TV. At least you can see the buttons clearly. LG should take a closer look at this remotes white background with colored buttons and forget the black on black one that comes with their sets.
