Set-up was fairly simple, works well with our LG smart TV. We wanted to replace the “Magic Remote” that came with the TV that has that damnable curser you cannot turn off! The buttons on the remote are well placed and work quickly. The only reason for not giving five stars is that it is big… a bit too big. I know it’s called the “Big EZ” so I should have seen this coming, but it does feel a bit unwieldy in my hand… and my hands are not very small. Other than that, no complaints, works great. Just know that it’s on the large side. Maybe that’s a plus for some. ... show more

3rd purchace for this remote. Loved it but it only works for couple days and then doesn't work. Changed batteries several times. So we now have 3 remotes 2-Walmart and 1 Amazon

Both of my grandfather because his regular spectrum remote was tiny, he seems to love it, it does exactly what it needs to do it was already programmed for our Smart TV which is wonderful. I would recommend it and I would purchase it again if needed

    • Great Big Remote missing Pause, Fwd, Rwd buttons
Great idea. Needs a few more buttons. This remote is easy to set up and use. However, it does not have pause, rewind, or forward buttons. I love how easy and big it is, and it has a "source" button that can be used to access the internal menu of the Funai DVD player for captions and other options. However, this "source" button is the only one that can "pause" the video, but I don't want my child to get used to using it and accidentally messing up some settings. Otherwise, it's a nice remote. Connects well. Just that flaw of missing necessary buttons to properly operate the dvd player. Oh, and the instructions state that the remote only holds the code for the programmed aux device for 10 minutes without batteries. My old universal remote still has the dvd code programmed in it after over a year in the moving box without batteries. I would use that old remote if it could also have codes for Roku programmed in. It seems suspicious that this remote can't do the same. ... show more

Ok ok I know these universal remotes all SAY they’re easy to program etc etc but by golly this remote is THE ONE. My 86 year old mother lives with me and she LOVVVVVVES The Thunder! Gotta watch every game so had to get a special package and reciever for that, then she has an LG smart tv but doesn’t believe me so she got an external Apple TV hookup. In all that madness there of course are three remotes and some days she can do it, some days she gets lost in all the apps (and ME TOO) and some days one of the remotes will dissapear and whooooo lord thanks for this. So it’s a nice big remote that has big, easily readable buttons that are BACKLIT!! Amazing! Now the remote already comes right outta the box and adding batteries ready to control the most popular brands of TVS so I put in batteries and it was operating her LG Tv without doing anything. Next was getting her DirectTV streaming box for her Thunder games and literally pressed 2 buttons entered the 4 digit code and boom! It operates that now too. On the aux button. The other tv brand buttons can be reprogrammed but I thought there’s no way it’ll operate an Apple TV streaming box but pressed two buttons, the four digit code and I’ll be danged IT WORKED! It’s super sturdy, easy to read, backlit, can control even the most fussy of electronics and has cut the stress and mess of watching tv to nothing!
