The chair is the most comfortable chair I have had. Turns on a dime and goes as fast or as slow as needed. It feels safe and is the best at this price point. Dealing with Amazon and Gym rolls was hassle free and a pleasure. When I say best believe me I have been in wheel chair he'll! This chair was great it was just too heavy for my friends to get in car. I wish it was lighter! I suppose when ad says lightweight that is subjective. I need ultra light. Amazon could not be a better company!

I bought this for my grandma who has osteoarthritis in both knees and hips. This electric wheel chair is a saving grace. The controls take a bit to get use to but once you have those down pat, you'll be zooming all over the place!

So much to love about this: The 22 inch width fit the cabin door on the Royal Princess, just barely, but we didn't need to fold it up, so that's awesome! The 252 watt hour battery is below the airlines' 300 wh max restriction, so great there. It turns on a dime, so that was great for maneuvering around the cruise ship, including in the elevator. The 3 or 4 wheel scooters that people had couldn't maneuver anywhere close to what we could do. I liked that you could increase the power (speed up) while moving forward. We got good at using min power for maneuvering out of a crowded elevator (need precise control) and then speeding up once we got to an open area, all without stopping. With all the traveling on the ship, the battery never went below 80% during the day. The biggest drawback was that it was a pain to get on my knees to remove and re-attach the battery to bring it on/off the plane (airlines mandate removing all lithium ion batteries and carrying it with you in the cabin). I've seen other models with the battery on the side for easy access. But if it's on the side, there's a possibility for damage to battery if it's hit--which would be catastrophic; so there's a tradeoff. With the foot rest folded up, sometimes the bars would trap the front wheel from castering, which meant it couldn't move forward without unfolding the footrest first. I wish it folded just a bit more--the arm rests stick out, which means it takes up most of my sedan's trunk space. When pressing the buttons, such as the pwr on button, the noise is Very loud. It was so loud it would attract attention from everyone nearby. It would be nice to have a volume/mute control on that sound. Some might be tempted to disassemble it and put some tape on the speaker. Thankfully no annoying beeping sound when moving backwards. FYI, my chair did not come with a USB outlet (to charge a phone), as pictured. That would have been nice. The electric brake worked just fine most of the time, but we found a hotel ramp that exceeded the brakes ability, so just be sure to have someone there to grab onto the wheelchair from behind for safety. I think we had to wait 3 weeks for the battery to be sent to us, so factor that into your planning. This was our first wheelchair, and we had many people comment on how great our chair was. They were surprised by the low price and how well it performed, so it made us think we chose properly. For the price, ease of use, maneuverability, etc, we are very happy with it. I would recommend.
