  • Sometimes hard to dial in the configuration you want, but sturdy
Style: Telescoping Boom, Tripod Base Size: Short
Sometimes hard to dial in the configuration you want, but sturdy. You will be able to configure it the way you want if you're patient.

  • Not bad for the money
Style: Fixed Boom, Tripod Base Size: Tall
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. In this case, I got a cheap stand that will do the job.....until it eventually breaks. Lot's of plastic parts at critical stress points on this stand (knobs, joints, etc). I'm sure they will fail sooner rather than later. And what's up with the "counter balance" at the end of the boom? It's nothing more than a piece of plastic that has no function other than to "appear" like it has a function. It offers absolutely no additional weight at the end of the boom (well, technically it weighs "something," but not enough to be descernable). I knew up front what I was getting. It will work as long as I don't abuse it. Seeing as how I do small gigs no more than once a week (for now), it should last a while considering the fact that I pretty much baby all of my equipment. If you are the same way with your own equipment, then I would recommend the stand. ... show more

Just a note...the first one I received was damaged and I had to send it back. The second was good but both of the original boxes were destroyed. This was the second box.

  • Looks Good, But Could Be Sturdier
Style: Fixed Boom, Tripod Base Size: Tall
I bought this mic stand to hold an AKG Perception 220 microphone. If the legs came out further it would be more stable; and if the poles were larger in diameter this mic stand would be sturdier as well. It's an attractive mic stand, but I do wish the 3 legs were longer (to make the stand more stable when a heavy microphone is placed beyond the length of the base). It's a little flimsy and I do wish all of the piping was larger in diameter (just a little) to make it more sturdy as well. ... show more

  • Solid
Style: Telescoping Boom, Tripod Base Size: Short
I've used this stand for micing a kick drum, a variety of hand percussion instruments, and even keyboard vocals. It's a solid little fella that doesn't tip over, not even with a Shure Beta52. An SM58 mic is fairly hefty in the hand but, even with the boom extended, it holds its ground, doesn't creep -- and it stays put when I twist in the settings I need. ... show more

Boom is a little long for a kick drum but it’s nice and sturdy!

  • Nice stand!
Style: Telescoping Boom, Tripod Base Size: Tall
This is nice stand and a good price for a telescoping boom. The four stars is for the light duty feeling. I think There are lower budget stands like this that are more stable. Time will tell on the durability. Like it!

  • "Last Stand!"
Style: Fixed Boom, Tripod Base Size: Tall
This product has very high ratings, and I can see why. The stand is quite flexible, and very sturdy. I have a very small space to use, and the stand can adapt nicely to this space. I'm using it for my electric keyboard, and I set it up perfectly in a tight space. The only thing to be aware of, it does not come with a cradle for the microphone. So if you do not have one with your mic, you will need to order one. A company rep named John, helped me solve this problem. He was extremely courteous and prompt! Thank you John! Overall, a terrific product at a great price! JTB ... show more
