I prefer to use 5/8" tooling for a more rigid cut, this holder allows me to do that.

These are hands down the best off brand tool holders available. I ordered one back in September to try it out, and now I'm back for more. Excellent quality and finish. The fasteners are even good quality, not your usual Chinese junk. I love being able to use 5/8" tooling on my AXA tool post. My tool post is from Shars and the dovetails match perfectly. My lathe has an Armstrong toolpost with no number or size designation so I wasn't sure this would fit. I first thought it was a BXA size but I borrowed one from work and it was too small so I looked up the specs on an AXA and decided to take a chance! I have purchased cheap AXA holders before that cost double this one and they were not real good quality. Usually the finish is bad and the screw heads never seem to fit the wrench. I've always wound up replacing the screws for good ol'e American quality. Needless to say, I was skeptical to buy this one. To my surprise, this brand looks of excellent quality. The finish is smooth and the hold down screws fit the wrench perfectly. Nothing else to buy. I am impressed to say the least. How they can make this overseas and ship it here for $13.99 and still maintain a profit is beyond me. I plan on buying more. ... show more
