*Light weight. *Easy to carry - padded straps to wear like a backback *Easy open and close *Back "pocket" holds a lot of stuff and has a drawstring closure so nothing falls out * LARGE cup holder easily holds over-sized cups *VERY sturdy canopy - holds up extremely well, even in steady and gusty beach winds *Comfortable seat - no bar under the legs *Firm, sturdy, comfy arm rests and the back adjusts easily. We experience some pretty significant winds on our recent trip to the beach. The canopy handled it with ease. I was amazed! That being said............ if the canopy is up on a really windy day, somebody needs to be sitting in it or it will blow away. I tried to move the chair when the wind was blowing really hard and it almost knock me (a 160 lb woman) over. It pushed me backwards for several feet before i could stop it. I had to fall forward in the chair just to make it stop. It was actually hilarious. I wish I had a video of that to share........ trying to come up with a negative, but there just are none. Best beach chair hands down. I write a fair amount of reviews and I try to be as fair and informative as I can. I've never been paid or offered discounts for any of them. I'd searched in stores and online for a good beach chair for years. This one ticks all the boxes just as a chair, with the sun shade as a surprisingly handy bonus. As a chair it's comfortable, and that's what I'd expect. The folding and adjustment mechanisms are both smooth and sturdy. Folded, it carries easily and comfortably. The shade has really impressed me. It offers good coverage while also being simple to deploy and stow. It can the adjusted easily with one hand and stays in place once set. Even in strong winds it will hold its position. If you've been researching and debating chairs in search of the one that's just right, definitely go for this one. ... show more

I wish there was more to it for the price I paid! It’s functional…kind of. The adjustments for the angle of the chair are a bit hard to adjust and get to the position you want it at. Carrying it as a backpack is a bit uncomfortable since it so wide strapped. The materials feel okay not too cheap. The sun shade is okay pretty sturdy and provides enough shades up until your thighs. That’s where an umbrella will come in and provide full shade. If you just want shade for your face and shoulders then this is the chair for you. I wish it wasn’t too low to ground because then I’d be able to take this to parks or fields and have a little more height. I feel like I could’ve just purchased a nice high quantity lounging chair for both occasions or either one and bought a separate attachment which they sell on Amazon and connect the sun shade to said chair….but overall it’s a nice chair. ... show more

Believe it or not - I live at the beach and have never had a beach chair - don't sit much! But after an injury, I thought I would like a beach chair. I did so much research before spending on such an item. This one is perfect! It's really sturdy, roomy, and the right height off the ground. Not too high, not one of those-low-to the-sand chairs. The only thing is it is a bit heavy to carry far. (I'm in my 60s) however carrying it a block to the beach and down the sand to the water is a breeze. Really enjoying this chair. I should mention the sun protection - it's adjustable and really saves form the harsh sun!! Wow ... show more
