I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this bag chair but after watching another traditional bean bag chair collapse into nothing in a few short months, I was determined to find a more durable product, preferably made in the USA (as this product is). When it arrived I was first a little miffed because it comes in this zippered cotton bag in a box with no plastic liner and there were some bugs in the bag (the box was damaged slightly and maybe the bugs are from my house - who knows). But after unzipping that bag, I see the actual product well protected by plastic. The outside cotton bag is just to make sure the packing method using vacuum keeps it a reasonable size to ship. I'd say it took a couple days to reach full size - not more than that. My issue is that it is a bit lumpy and they pieces of foam don't move around that well - so if you want a divet for your body shape, you may have to stand up and adjust the fabric, punching the center, pulling on the side, whatever and try again. But I didn't buy it for me, I bought it for my 11 year old and he absolutely loves it - he likes to jump from his bunk bed on top of it as a crash landing pad, he reads in it, and gets some exercise carrying it around (it's pretty heavy). He doesn't think it is particularly lumpy. The cover (we got forest green) seems to be of good quality and both the cover and chair itself (which has a sturdy cotton liner) had no significant out gassing which I am pretty sensitive too.

Disclaimer: before mine was good, I had to contact the manufacturer for more foam (mine was only about 15" tall when fluffed originally). This is after they sent another box of foam (of which I used about half). It's big, comfy, and fits perfectly in my living room. Bought it as an "extra" chair, but my daughter has since claimed it. For the price, I'd argue it's a pretty good deal. Customer service was also top-notch. Reached out originally because it lacked the foam needed, and they got that fixed inside a couple days.

This chair is very flat, almost like the wrong inner bag was sent! Once the inner bag was placed in the outer cover, the stuffing is way to spread out and the chair is very flat. No support! It resembles a dog bed more than a bean bag chair.

Bottom line: great customer shopping experience, excellent delivery, packaging, easy setup as far as undoing vacuum package etc. but I was not impressed w the lack of comfort for my upper body, head and neck in particular; as there’s none. I bought the 4000 for an extra seat in den (most likely for me) when son home from college. Wife originally ordered the 5000. Glad I changed order to 4000 as the 5 may have smothered us. These bags are huge, and NOT easy to move. 4000 was quite heavy and obtuse for me to move from one room to another. Your body lower half is really only thing that’s supported. If watching TV or reading a book there’s absolutely no head or neck support. Deal killer for me. To be fair I didn’t realize I could have still returned to US Co. even tho vacuum packing is blown. I sold at local consignment shop got half my $$$ back. Can not recommend this product but there seem to be many fans as well. Just not for me.
