Completely portable. The battery lasts forever! Good sound but could be louder (I am an ‘80s Hi Fi music nut, This thing is probably just fine for regular people). We use it in our side by side since it came without a radio. Have even taken it hiking playing Christmas music while Christmas 🎄 tree hunting. First, get two, for a musically immersed dual surround sound! Then download the Ultimate Ears app and enable stereo mode. Absolutely amazing, quality speaker with plenty of bass and crisp highs. So far I've purchased four, but you can pair up to 100 of these powerful yet small devices!     • Pro: Get VERY loud. Con: distort when too loud
These certainly get LOUD. Which is their main selling point. They also can get quite bass-y but once you go too high up in volume, they will certainly start to distort. In terms of audio clarity, they could certainly be clearer. this speaker is very mid-heavy. Comparing these to the Bose Soundlink II, these are muddier and bass is a lot looser. I found myself increasing the treble EQ in the UE app almost all the way to get clearer audio. But I found myself picking these over the bose because I would mainly use these in gatherings, which certainly excel because of their loudness. ... show more

    • Refurb Risk - No Problem
Went with a refubished product to give the UE a try. Speaker came in a plain white box, with what appeared to be a factory sealed charger and cable. No manual, but I found one online. Easy to bluetooth pair, updated firmware, played some tunes. Seems great so far. Charging it up to test the battery.

I already had another megaboom and was happy with it. I would only critic battery, as it does not stand for long parties. I bought this one as my backyard is big and wanted to interconnect them, as they supposed to do. Unfortunately that is not the case. They connect with the app of megaboom, but sound is terrible while connected. Therefore I have to return it ... show more
