Cons first: most of the accessories it comes with are cheap (I love the lens attachment though). I would recommend buying a sturdier tripod (if you plan to use it), an extra battery or two, a bigger storage card, and a better flash attachment. That being said, you cannot beat this for the price! The camera itself is perfect for anyone wanting to take up photography with little to no experience. It’s a great starter and easy to mess with and figure out! I definitely recommend looking up some YouTube videos for any special settings or styles you’re trying to use, but overall, it’s easy to navigate if you have basic tech skills. I think it takes great photos when you figure out the settings! I sat on this purchase for a couple years before buying it because I was worried about spending that much on a camera, even refurb, but I wish I had bought it sooner! It has taken me a long time to learn this camera and years ago I did photo journalism for a living (back in film days). This thing does not auto focus as it should, the auto flash pops up at the worst times, and I got two external flashes with it. One had dog bite marks…yet! Teeth marks. If I did this again, I would send the thing back and just buy a new one. This was not with it, but it’s too late now. ... show more
