Update. Today is September 27th 2023. I know i said i was gonna update 2 months after, it was been a busy summer. Anyhow, Am almost hair free. I still get a few strays here and there. I still zap away at least twice a week/once a week. I got the confidence i never had since my teen years. And it feels amazing. To all my ladies out there. Commit to it. No PCOS have ever been diagnosed. I had laser hair removal in my early 20’s, as a result i got what i feel was twice as much hair back and scarring of my skin. I have tried everything out there, hair growth minimizers, wax, plucking, laser hair removal you name it. First month of using ULike IPL i took it “easy” zapping twice each area which is what customer service recommended. But three weeks ago i started zapping 4 times each area. This is what my skin tolerates, by no means am advising anyone to do the same, this is what has worked for me. My chin has been my major concern and i keep working on it; today marks 2 months of zapping away every 3 days. As you can see in the pictures the hair is not completely gone, but this is a big achievement for me. I will update my review in two months from now hoping to be hairless for the first time since my teen years. i did armpits, legs, arms, upper lip and bikini area, committed to do it every three days zapping twice each area for 2 weeks, hair is 90% gone and i continue to do it now once every 2 weeks. Soon it will be once a month for those areas. I am writing this review with the only purpose of helping other women that suffer the same condition. If you want it to work you need to COMMIT!

Photo: left of the line you can see the hair is sparse and random and patchy. Right side you can see where I obviously missed a full strip when using device. This is after 3 days use and over a week of hair growth on my leg. I had an older cheaper style IPL hair remover that never really worked despite using it regularly. So buying this was a leap of faith that it would actually work. But I was desperate. I live with PCOS so I have heavy dark hair on my chin that’s super embarrassing. I have an obvious five o’clock shadow, and I’m super pale which just makes it worse. I have done a few laser treatments but I don’t have the money to fork out monthly. I used this machine 3 days in a row on my legs, underarms, and face. Then got busy with work and life and kinda forgot to keep up with it for a few weeks. I’m not a shaver of my legs or underarms daily. I shave every few weeks to once a week. Unless it’s going to be visible in a skirt or tank I don’t feel the urge. So two weeks go by without shaving and I remember the device and prep to shave and start using it again. So I looked at my legs and underarms. I HAD BALD PATCHES. Full strips on my legs where there was nothing. I obviously wasn’t even in my first few uses. But holy crap, it freaking worked! And immediately. My underarms which are dark and THICK are barely there. About 75% of the hair is straight up gone. I even have a very bald patches on my chin (which is the best and I genuinely cried). If you are unsure if it’s worth the money, it is. If you’re unsure if it will work, it can and did. I have very pale skin and dark brown hair on my chin and underarms and a medium blonde/brown on my legs. I know I’m probably the best candidate for this device skin tone and hair color wise, so I understand others might have different opinions. But if you are similar to me and/or wanting to try it, I recommend it to everyone now and I’ve only had it a month or so.

So, I have been using this product off and on for about a year now. I use it on three areas; legs, underarms, and nether regions. I generally use the product 1-3 times a week, depending on how I'm feeling after a shower, and I use it on the highest setting. There have been stretches where I didn't use it for weeks or a month or two at a time because life happened and self-care took a back seat for a bit. In that time, it has worked best on thinner body hair, the thicker the hair the longer results take. My leg hair was already baby fine, and now it barely grows at all. Underarms, the hair is still growing BUT the hairs are much more sparse, thinner, and lighter in color. Unless you are close enough to give it a good sniff you really can't tell if I have or haven't shaved. The area it has not worked super great on is the down under area. The hair is a bit more patchy, the strands a little thinner, and growth has slowed slightly. But it's still very clearly there and even when I use it regularly the hair only slows in growth. I'm not hair free in the underwear area, but the hair is taking longer to grow. Maybe with very regular use for months at a time it will stop, but, it's been a few months of regular use there and it's still just slower, slightly thinner growth. On the upside, as long as the skin is dry the device is pretty much painless. If I find a damp spot it does have the rubberband slap feeling, but it's just a moment of pain. Not lasting any longer than the quick, "ouchie!"
