For years I've been using a pair of hair cutting scissors that I purchased from a 100 yen store. I only use the scissors to trim my bangs so it's been ok, but I kept telling myself that I should buy a professional grade pair of scissors because it was probably a bit healthier & safer for my hair. I was so excited to finally get this pair of professional hair cutting scissors & trimmed my bangs right away. I could definitely feel the difference in the way it cut through my hair & I didn't feel myself cringing, wondering if I was creating split ends or how I was damaging my hair. The blades are nice & sharp, cutting through my hair smoothly. The scissors aren't too heavy that it's uncomfortable to handle, & it's definitely not too light with a cheap-y look & feel like my other pair. The ergonomic design is a great feature, especially since I'm a lefty. I now look forward to being able to clean up a few areas on my son's head when we're in-between hair cuts. These scissors are great & make me feel more confident when cutting my hair.

These scissors are heavy and sharp. They feel very strong and sturdy in the hand and give nice crisp cut lines. I started cutting my own hair during the pandemic and having an upgraded pair of scissors makes a huge difference over the cheap drug store set I was using before and these are a pretty comparable price point to those. The blunt tips don't make a big difference to me, but I can see them being helpful if you are cutting kid's hair or just worried about scratching your skin when trimming bangs or the like. The handles are comfortable, I'm not sure I'd say the finger holes are larger than others I've used, but these are at least similar and do fit my medium sized hands well.

The ULG Professional Hair Cutting Scissors 6.5-Inch are an excellent pair of shears for the price. Very sharp out of the box and had no problem cutting through my hair, they left a smooth clean cut. They're pretty lightweight. I have fairly large hands and my fingers fit through the openings just fine. Due to them being both left and right handed, they aren't all that ergonomic, but they aren't terribly uncomfortable either. You can adjust the tension, however it isn't as easy to adjust as other scissors I have, as there isn't really a "knob" to hold on to. I'm pretty impressed with these shears though. They do a great job and they're priced very competitively.

Love, love, love these haircutting scissors! I tried this scissor on my hair as soon as I received it. I only used it for a trim but they work great. They are super sharp and cut each strand of hair with precision. These scissors are long which allows you to cut a wide section of hair at once and you don't need to double back to try and get any missed strands because they really do get every single piece on the first cut. They are comfortable to hold and although I'm right handed, I did use my left hand to cut certain sections of my hair and they felt just as comfortable in my left hand as they did in my right. There seemed to be a tiny scratch or scuff on one of the scissor blades but it is barely noticeable and doesn't affect it's performance at all. These are actually one of the best haircutting scissors that I've used, definitely top 3.

I’m not a professional hair stylist, so I can’t compare these to what the pros use. However, these barber scissors are a huge upgrade to the small pair I had before, which I think I bought at a W-mart. I use hair scissors to trim my bangs and also on my husband’s hair. I use clippers to cut his hair, but I also use scissors to trim around his ears, catch stray hairs the clippers miss, and clean up his eyebrows. I tried these scissors out on his hair, and they are sharp and feel well balanced in the hand. They strike me as well designed, and they come with instructions on how to properly hold and handle them, which I appreciate as an untrained barber! I find these an excellent value for the price.

During all of my past purchases of hair cutting shears over the decades, I don't think any have been as affordable as these ULG scissors. The Japanese black stainless are blades are very attractive, but more importantly, they really are ultra sharp. I'm right handed when cutting. These 6.5" are just the right length to feel comfortable and natural in my hand. When I cut, the hair is not pushed or moved, it is bluntly removed. Nice straight cut. My finger fits easily. My thumb does fit, in the same size opening. (Because it's for right or left hands.) The silicone cover on the spacer keeps it quiet. I did hear the hair being cut. I am VERY impressed with how well these ULG scissors cut! I was somewhat surprised that I could buy great hair shears at such a fantastic price. No case or sleeve to keep it in, if you wondered. I would definitely order the ULG shears again!
