Since I still have no idea what I am doing, I am trying not to spend a ton of money on lighting and other equipment until I have a bit more experience. This light wand is at a great price point and good enough for a newbie to use to experiment with. It is also battery powered so I don't have to worry about outlets. It's also light in wight such that I can hang it off a magic arm from the camera's cage. It's kind of unwieldy when you do that, but it's nice that you can!

Good for light paintings. Dislike the entire build tho. I don’t like the button layout. It’s served some purposes but I feel like it could break during any shoot lol.

So I bought this originally to use as lighting for photos and for a specific photo session idea I had for my son. I was a bit worried to let him hold it but he did a good job of not swinging it around. I was glad that it had the option to change the color of the light as I was doing a star wars inspired shoot. It is reasonably priced and works well.

Used this light in a short film to create contrast in the background (the green light in images). We were shooting for about 6 hours and this light lasted the entire time. Given the price, I think the output and battery life are definitely worth it. I would suggest buying a couple if you're someone who shoots for a long time, but as far as quality of the product , its amazing. Great cheap alternative for the pricier lights.

I bought 3 of these to add a colored background in videos I making. They are bright enough that I actually had to turn them down. While there are no instructions, I figured it out in under 5 minutes. It would have taken longer to read instructions poorly translated to English. All in all, an excellent value despite the limitations.
