This little Ulanzi clamp is wildly capable for its size. The listing makes it sound like a simple phone mount accessory, but it’s so much more versatile and functional than that. It grips flat surfaces, round poles, railings, tripod legs, handlebars—basically anything up to about an inch thick—and once it’s tightened, it does. not. move. The rubberized feet give it a secure, non‑slip hold without scratching whatever you attach it to. The build quality is excellent: all metal, smooth threads, spring‑loaded action, and a weight that feels solid without being bulky. What really sets it apart is the number of mounting points. You get a cold shoe, multiple 1/4" threads (including ARRI‑style anti‑twist holes), and attachment spots on every side. Cameras, lights, magic arms, phone holders, iPads, tools—if it mounts, this clamp can hold it. The design is spot on! It arrives in a fitted foam insert that doubles as storage, which is a nice touch. And because it’s compact, I actually use it way more than my big, heavy SLR clamp—it’s just easier to throw in a bag and go. It works but you have to align the feet to tighten it down, and not that much more stable than the two foot clamp. It could be good for other surfaces that I have not used it on. Looks to be good quality.

I’m not sure why the ad for this states the compatible devices, phone models and mounting types it does. Yes, it works for those things, but this little guy is capable of so much more than that, the ad really sells it short. I have a really good clamp from my days of only using my big SLRs. Although it does function somewhat like this one, it’s big and bulky and I find myself not using it as much because of that. Along came the opportunity to try this one. I own other Ulanzi products and have been very pleased with all I have, so it was a no-brainer to try this and I’m so glad I did. This one does what my big ones does and so much more! First, this will firmly attach to a flat object like a table top or railing, or a round object like a pole, handlebar, or tree branch. It’s has multiple places on it to attach things, whether it be a camera, light, phone, magic arm, etc. I’ve had no problem with it coming loose in either position, it has a firm steady hold. The “feet” are rubberized and flexible, providing a good grip in any position. It has a cold shoe mount, and two 1/4” ARRI holes, one horizontal, one vertical on the flat surface area to keep your attached object from twisting. On each side is yet another 1/4” screw hole. The clamp arrived nicely packaged in a branded box. The insert is custom fit and protects it well in case you also want to use it to store it. It’s small yet sturdy, has so many options of use. I've been wanting one of these for a while and I'm so happy I finally got it! This ULANZI CO78 Super Clamp feels like a quality product from the moment you see the box. So many accessories feel cheap these days, but not this one. It's all metal, has a nice weight, articulates smoothly, and is even spring-loaded. You can clamp it hard, and it's rock solid. Whatever arm you attach to it will be the weak point in terms of weight capacity. I've been very satisfied with this clamp. Now that I've checked this off my list, I'm adding a bigger one, not because I need a stronger one, but because I want to attach it to larger objects. This clamp is fantastic. It has a TON of mounting points including many threaded mounts and a hot shoe, allowing me to mount my accessories at just about any angle or position i may need. I use it primarily foa camera mound, and a crafting mount where i attach a second clamp to it to quicky hold items i am working on for easy access. This is a nice quality super clamp from Ulanzi. It feels well made, grips very securely, and gives a good overall impression right away. It is one of those accessories that feels simple, but very useful once you start using it. I use it to attach my iPad to a tripod so I can see the viewfinder image on a larger screen, and it has been working great for that. It handles the weight without slipping on the tripod pole, which was the main thing I cared about, and the grip feels very solid and dependable. "I have and the ""crab claw"" version of these clamps before which were useful but these are a BIG step up if you are trying to attach them to something that is NOT a desk. I have wanted one of these for a while and I am so happy I got one. This feels like a quality product as soon as you look at the box and unpack it. So many accessories look and feel cheap these days - not the ULANZI CO78 Super Clamp. It's all metal, has a little heft, smoothly articulating and is even spring loaded. You can clamp it hard and it is rock solid. Whatever arm you attach to it, that will be the weak point as far as weight carrying ability goes. I have been very satisfied with this clamp.
