  • have to get separate attachment for phone
Style: ULS01
I really like this... had been using an architect style swing arm phone mount, but it was hard to get the phone low enough and in the right place at the same time. this makes it a little easier since the arms are horizontal, not vertical. have it attached to the end of my five foot wide desk and it comfortably reaches the middle and the arms fold up so as not to be in the way. ... show more

  • Surprised at how good it was.
Style: ULS01
I've been looking for a good and reasonably priced top-down camera arm for a few years now. This one finally came up in my searches and I bought it. It's well-made, easy to put together and easy to use. I used to take some photos of various objects on my desk and it was a stable platform for that. The arm didn't move unnecessarily, so it was easy to take photos that were reliably consistent, even across multiple products. If you're looking for a good solution for taking flat top-down photos, or even ones at a consistent angle, this is a really good option. Paired with one of the iPhone clamps/holders, it's great for taking advantage of your iPhone's cameras to take good photos. I'd absolutely buy it again. ... show more

  • Lots of Points of Attachment
I used this as a desk mount for my camera, laptop, and a key light for streaming. Personally I love how much accessibility you gain from this however I have to admit that the arms that extend out cannot handle a lot of weight. Just my legato key light has proven to be a little on the heavier side providing a slight lean. The laptop arm ive had to keep bent towards the center post to keep from bending but the desk clamp is extremely sturdy and well built. I will also adds that the 1/4in screws that came with the mounts on the arm were all the right length except for one but I believe that was just am unfortunate mistake and thankfully I had a screw laying around to replace it. I would purchase this again but I would be prepared to know it might lean a bit. ... show more

  • Excellent for mounting all kinds of things
Style: ULS01
I'm a YouTuber so my use case my different than some but using this arm helped me lose a few stands from my set up. I previously had the mic on one stand and the light on the other but with this, I removed the stand from the boom and attached the boom arm to the top of this mount for the light. Then used the arm itself to mount the mic in place. I'm using another arm for the camera that's attached to the desk but technically I could connect it to the mount as well, but it isn't needed. Previously, I had it connected to a different desk and used it as something to hold a gopro as a 5th camera during live streams. Keeping the knobs a little loose allowed me to be able to use the mount as a moving arm to show people around the studio. Overall, this thing is awesome and you can use it in some pretty creative ways, especially if you have extra adapters and mounts laying around. As a side tip, if you have a mic flag, it also fits comfortably over this pole in the event you want to put it there. ... show more

  • Superb Stand for Video Conferencing and Still Photography
Style: ULS01
This is one of those rare, simple things that is immediately satisfying because of its materials, design, and build quality. I use it to position my webcam over the top of my monitor array and to support an auxiliary light. It is sturdy and well-crafted. The machined parts are nicely finished. Delightfully uncomplicated - no instructions included or required. A great choice for folks who work from home and appreciate the elegance of simple quality. ... show more

  • Not stable enough for camera-lens combos 2 lbs or more.
Style: ULS01
I used this on a 2-camera shoot. I mounted my heavier/larger camera and lens on it, nearly fully extended. The camera and lens weigh 2.64 lbs., just over half the rated weight. While it "worked", I won't use it again with that camera-lens combo. It was simply unstable. While the fasteners held tightly, the weight of the camera (with bars extended) leaned downward a bit (making the shot not level). And the whole thing bobbled. So, I needed to be careful of movement on the floor or pressing against the desk causing it to bob a bit. I have just tested it with a smaller camera and lens combo. At 1.73 lbs, I'd say that it "works" -- much more stable and less bobble; but that it is nearing the top end of usable weight. So, I am mainly docking the rating based on the weight claim that is about double what is actually real-world usable. Meanwhile, the design and build of it seems great. It attaches firmly to a desk or table (I've done both). The extenders work well. The fasteners seem solid. I have not tried the ball (that others have critiqued). I could see this being awesome for a cell phone or any small camera, and okay for any medium camera under 2 lbs total. But a no-go for larger camera setups. ... show more

  • so I wouldnt recommend, flimsy
Style: ULS01
so I have a 6700 on the end of this, and my god is it flimsy. The rod that comes up vertically is much thinner than the predecessor, and you have a lot of wobble with it
