I bought this mainly for short-form video and casual vlogging on my iPhone, and it exceeded my expectations. The mic is tiny and extremely lightweight. Once clipped on, it’s easy to forget it’s even there, which is great for on-camera work. Setup is truly plug-and-play. I plugged the receiver into my phone and it paired immediately with no apps or settings to mess with. Audio quality is noticeably cleaner than the built-in mic, especially indoors. Voices come through clear and full, and the noise reduction does a good job cutting down background noise without sounding overly processed. Battery life has also been solid so far. The charging case with the digital display is more useful than I expected, and it’s nice being able to see remaining battery at a glance. I haven’t tested the full 100m range, but connection has been stable for normal filming distances. It’s not going to replace a high-end shotgun or studio mic, but for the size, price, and convenience, this is an excellent wireless lav. Great option for content creators, interviews, or anyone wanting better audio from their phone without extra gear. I think this is a great value for money, I have mics that cost 2 - 3x the amount and I don't have any discernible difference between these with my other alternatives. ... show more

The Ulanzi Mini Mic performed well and had pretty respectable sound quality especially considering it is a wireless lavalier and omnidirectional. This also was a breeze to setup and pair. It connected in seconds and was immediately recognized by the M4 Mac. All that is necessary is to change the input device selected from your interface to the usb/hdi under sound in settings, then the same process under the recording settings in Logic. After that it was ready to record. I didn’t experience any audio drop outs and the sound quality was just fine. It was not clear if the auto noise reduction impacted audio quality as the recording was in a very quiet space so it may not have been stressed at all. I didn’t test range limits but the microphone worked well within 15 feet of the receiver. The mics, receiver and case all feel well made and of very good quality. It was especially easy to charge the units. Battery life went down maybe 20% in over an hour of test recording. I am not overly enthusiastic about lav mics in general but this pair seems a very good value as it was easy to use and exceeded performance expectations! Highly recommended! ... show more

Great little mic with a good range and sound quality. The size makes it functional for recording podcasts or videos, and would be wonderful for real estate agents or others who need to walk and talk. Battery life has been good. It comes with some charge, but you should charge any electronic device to 100% before using it, so take care of this little mic. Great value for the money. One caveat - The instruction book is also tiny and not particularly easy to follow. Set aside some time to read it. The English instructions are in the middle of the booklet. ... show more
