    • Quality control issues, but it's okay
When I first plugged in this device, the power would not stay connected. The cord kept coming out of the transformer brick. It was very bizarre and nearly caused me to return it for a refund. Eventually, I got the cord to stay plugged in securely. It took some forcing to do that, which should not be necessary. There is definitely a wide array of games presented on various platforms. The system can upscale for HD displays, so the old games don't look quite so pixelated. Some "originalists" might not like this feature (it can be disabled) but I think it makes the overall presentation better. Numerous older games suffer from playability issues related to a mismatch on the aspect ratio. There's no way I've found to get around this problem. However, the games with a more suitable HD aspect ratio play quite well. I'm not a big fan of the joystick. On certain games, it doesn't tend to respond all that well to directional changes. For example, on Dig Dug it will send you up instead of right most of the time. This could be a deal killer for some games. I was able to plug in my PS4 gamepad and got better response in movement. Again, a quality control issue that shouldn't be present in a $200 console. The documentation is in very broken English. I really don't understand why it is so elusive to have intelligently-written documentation for electronics these days. Just another minor irritation about this system, I guess. They all add up, however, and that is why I cannot give this product four stars. There's a great variety of games, most of them are quite playable, and I like the way this thing looks on an HD screen. For those reasons, I can say this wasn't a bad purchase. Unfortunately, the numerous quality control issues hold me back from highly recommending this console to people who expect a little more for $200. ... show more

HDMI port no longer works. Cord falls out and even when it stays in the screen is glitchy after only 2 months of use. Great system when it works.

I have it hooked up to my firetv through the hdmi cable. System works great. It does have 6666 games on it with minimal duplicates. It has a lot of great titles and some hidden gems. Some hits I was wanting isn’t on it like no nfl blitz. Other cons is that the Genesis games are marked as Xbox and all the home console games (especially nes) have totally different titles. You’ll have to scroll through them individually to find what you are looking for like Zelda is called something else. Overall it is well worth it. Graphics are in HD and sound is fine. There's only 667 games on there when they said it had 6600 games. And the screen keeps going black when selecting games then goes back on which is pretty annoying. I wouldn't of paid the $150 if I there was only gonna b 667 games..
