Size is good, i have a 6000 BTU that is bigger that this 8000. Noise level is good easily use at night when sleeping. The rating said 350 sq. foot room i believe, and easily cools this size. i am using in a larger room just for comfort and it keeps that room well maintained. Cost was comparable if not better than anywhere else. I see it cheaper on some sites, until they post the shipping fee and then its more that amazon. Set up was easy right out of the box no direction needed system running in 10 minutes. The vents are easily removed for cleaning. Overall this met all expectations and i would recommend or purchase again myself.

I bought this unit after my central air-conditioner died over the 4th of July weekend. My home owners association does not allow window air conditioner units, but they do allow these portable air conditioner units. Pros This unit blows ice cold air It did cool down the room I put it in during the worst heatwave, when it was 110 degrees outside It's easy to install and maintain. Cons It's very heavy to carry. It weighs 48lbs. It's very noisy compared to the 2 other portable air-conditioner units my air-conditioner repair company let me borrow while I was waiting for them to replace my central air-conditioner. This unit barely cooled down a 200 square foot room. I still needed additional fans in the room because the parts of the room farthest from the unit was quite warm. It's Not as good as window air conditioners. I had window air conditioners in another home i lived in and they are definitely better at cooling the house. So if you are allowed to use them, I would definitely choose the windows air conditioners over these portable air conditioners. The exhaust hose separated from the unit twice over the 10 days I used it, blowing hot air into the room. Definitely a safety concern when leaving theses portable units running when your not home so supervise them. But when it's 110 degrees outside turning them off when you leave the house isn't really an option. So these portable units do work, and kept the rooms in my house at a tolerable temperature while I was waiting 10 days to get my central air conditioner replaced. However, I would definitely go with the window air conditioning units instead of these portable units if your allowed to use them.

I never usually write reviews but I feel ripped off & want to help someone else find another ac unit instead of this one!! I used this occasionally for 3 summer months in 2023, I always cleaned it & put it away in an indoor closet for the fall/winter. I took it out today & it has not been blowing cool air at all. It’s recycling the air but the “cool” function is not working. I have tried everything the manual says to fix the problem with no avail. I don’t have $240 each summer to buy a new ac unit for my apartment. This should work for longer than 3 months of occupational usage considering the unit is indoors unlike most others that are exposed to the elements ! Noise level- loud ! Even on the sleep setting it is noisy , you can’t hear anything over it. Which is fine for someone like me that enjoys loud fans but for my partner , they prefer it to be quiet. Installation- I have standard windows that slide up, the piece that pops into the window & then into the hose is too big . I had to duct tape it to the window sill & to the hose to hold it all into place.

This unit operating in small room approximately 220 sqft . Was very easy to setup and start. Build quality is on high level. Convenient function and of course remote. Cooling is very sufficient for this size of room and doesn't take that much space around window area. Really satisfied with this purchase. Recommend to anybody who need to cool small room.

Given time, this unit will definitely cool down a room, the difference between the temperature is noticeable, and if you let it run for multiple hours without stopping, it will get noticeably chilly even. It does work, but that being said, the unit is INCREDIBLY loud. I have to turn my phone volume to near maximum in order to hear anything. The loudness is in fact so bothering that It becomes complicated to watch tv without worrying that the volume of the tv will bother the downstairs neighbors. This can be remedied by investing in noise cancelling headphones, but I wish it could be quieter, sleep mode does not make a difference in sound level. Installation was complicated, I had to modify the panel by cutting part of it off in order for it to fit my window, after which it left a jagged looking edge on the panel. The hose was easy to put on and install. The remote control feels relatively cheap, but it does indeed perform its intended function. The unit is fairly compact all things considered. The fan speed is okay, but nothing incredibly impressive. I will note that the fan sometimes sounds like it’s scraping. Overall the unit will cool your room to a comfortable level, but you should expect this unit to have noticeable problems. (Auto evaporation function works, review based on mid 80s to low 90s weather) I will say that I expected more from this, it exudes a very cheap vibe. This is a very good example of “you get what you pay for” I would urge anyone looking at this to explore better options before you find yourself wanting something better.

instillation was pretty straightforward and it definitely gave me the relief i desperately needed from the texas heat. but SO INSANELY LOUD!!!!!! if that’s not a deal breaker for you then this is perfect for the price but i just can’t over it., especially for a product that claims to be quiet
