Model: DXP6800 Plus,6-Bay (Diskless)
I have now had this UGREEN NAS DXP6800 Plus for about six months and it has been rock solid. A quality unit. VERY easy to set up and get up and running. So far I have only installed a couple drives and have not investigated or tried out any of the embedded apps. My original intent was to convert to TrueNAS, but I will leave asis for now as it works well.

Model: DXP6800 Plus,6-Bay (Diskless)
I installed TrueNas on this device day 1, so I couldn't comment about the operating system that comes with it, but I absolutely love this device. I am running a family only private music streaming service, an opensource GitHub clone service, and I couldn't be happier with having control over my own data and not being forced to share any of my projects with all other GitHub users. We have packed away our old music CDs and it is easier to find any of our cd collection. I am now considering getting their DXP8800 so I can have another one for storing our home DVD and BlueRay collection on it and stream the movies, further decluttering our house and making it easier to find each movie for streaming.

Model: DXP6800 Plus,6-Bay (Diskless)
I have had this NAS for about 10 days I also have a Synology DS1910+ that is 6 years old. So this is kind of a comparison. The hardware is excellent. Much better processor, faster LAN ports, better USB ports, and it seems quieter. The software selection is smaller, but they have most of the stuff I want to use. Most of the software is easier to set up, but for some things you have to use docker, and that can be complicated. I have also found it difficult to mount folders so I can use them from Windows Explorer. It works, but it is more complicated than Synology. The remote access works great. One big negative is no SHR raid so all your drives have to be the same size or you lose storage capacity. I am also less trusting of a Chinese company from a security standpoint. I would also like to have the ability to add external drives if needed. Synology has this feature. I am also hoping for software upgrades in the future.

AVOID UGREEN Very dissatisfied with this. Nothing but problems so far. Less issues would lead to a better rating.

This is my first NAS system. I'm very happy so far. The installation and setup were easy and straightforward. I decided on the Ugreen 6800 Plus for the performance specs and value for the money. Impressive build quality. Very solid and sturdy. I installed 4 drives leaving 2 empty for future expansion. Having a high performance NAS in my video editing system solves so many problems. I no longer have to manage the dozens of T7 drives with assets spread across several drives. Everything is now saved and organized on the NAS. The 10gb ethernet performance is amazing. No dropped frames editing 4K/60 video on Premiere Pro. I upgraded the NAS RAM to 32gb and added 2 NVME drives for cache. The Ugreen OS is also easy to navigate and understand.

Everyone needs this for data backup you can trust. One bad thing: the photo APP has no Slide Show function.

Great unit but. If you add like me a 20tb expansion drive it takes over 3 days of formatting and other stuff and pretty makes the whole unit useless. They need to also make the interface software.
