UGreen seems to be a respectable brand and Cat8 seems future proof. I recently used this to hard wire my devices after I hardwired my routers and created multiple networks. If you have the ability to hardwire as opposed to WiFi, that is the way to go, it gives a faster and more reliable signal.

This cable is presently running between my Comcast Modem and Qnap 2.5 switch. It is very well made and is not causing any problems in my home network. But it is really not necessary. Cat 6a is just as effective and a lot less money. I'm not sure what I thought I would be getting when I purchased the Cat 8 cable. Maybe just knowing it was a higher number than 6. That my speeds would be better. There's no difference. Save your money. UGreen makes a fine cable. You just don't need it. ... show more
