Only Reason this isn’t 5 stars is the reel they put onto the pole is not great. It’s not worth the extra $40 dollars for the combo, just put that toward a better reel. The rod is great, and the medium action rod works great for any size fish from tiny minnows to 10 pound carp. I’m sure it could handle bigger, just haven’t gotten there yet. The pole is very sensitive, seems very sturdy, and the 2 piece connection stays in place and works perfect. The reel holder is also very easy to use and isn’t going anywhere. I have this paired with a 3000 size okuma spinning reel, so far so good. The Abu Garcia broke after a few uses. ... show more

So this is what i got. One with a broken pole and the other is missing part of the pole. Can I get the upper part of the pole that's missing. This is complete junk for what I paid for.

I did very little research and bought this for my husband for a fishing trip because the guys on reddit said it's a great combo for trout fishing. Worked out really well for him and it's really nice quality for the price.
