I bought this because I'm doing some conversions from AC motors to DC motors and wanted to be sure I was doing everything correctly. The information in this little book is good, but is probably not necessary if you already have Ugly's Electrical References. A lot of the info is exactly the same as far as Ohm's Law, finding watts, kilowatts, horsepower, etc. If you don't have the Electrical References book and work with motors this would be a worthwhile investment. Be aware, especially considering the price tag, that this is a small book (4"x6") that is intended to fit in a tool box, bag, or belt. Ugly's books have always been handy to keep in your pocket, and have always been correct and they usually pick out the topics that you need most out in the field. Been reading them for at least 30 years I guess.
