  • A beautiful and remarkably helpful book
The Art of Home by Shea McGee is not only beautiful book filled with gorgeous pics, yet also a remarkably helpful resource with info about how to mix colors, how to hang artwork, how to hang lighting fixtures, etc., etc. I’ve had it only a few weeks, and I’ve read it cover to cover several times and have used it as a resource for how high to hang a chandelier above a table. I read reviews about the book arriving damaged, yet mi e is flawless. It is beautiful displayed on a table in my great room. ... show more

I like the book and using it as decor on my bookshelves. The color and book are as shown and is a nice, white color. It goes well with my neutral decor.

  • A Stunning and Practical Guide to Elevated Yet Livable Design
The Art of Home is a beautifully crafted and insightful book that strikes the perfect balance between sophistication and everyday comfort. As someone who loves interior design but finds many design books either too aspirational or too simplistic, this book exceeded my expectations. What I Loved: ✅ Gorgeous Visuals – The photography is stunning, offering endless inspiration for creating a warm yet refined home. ✅ Practical Advice – Unlike some design books that focus purely on aesthetics, this guide provides actionable tips for making stylish choices that fit real-life living. ✅ Approachable Luxury – The book teaches how to achieve a high-end look without feeling pretentious or unlivable, making it ideal for both design enthusiasts and beginners. ✅ Thoughtful Design Philosophy – The author doesn’t just focus on trends; instead, they emphasize timeless design principles that make a home feel personal and inviting. Room for Improvement: 🔹 While the book is full of inspiration, some readers may wish for more budget-friendly recommendations. However, the principles shared can be adapted to various price points. Final Verdict: If you're looking for a design book that blends beauty with functionality, The Art of Home is a must-have. It’s more than just a coffee table book—it’s a resource you’ll want to revisit time and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to create a home that feels both elegant and livable. 📌 Would I Buy It Again? Absolutely! • Pretty book but came damaged twice
First book I ordered was damaged on the spine and second was bent on the outside cover corner.

  • full of visual beauty and just enough text
a book of beauty and down-to-earth elegance. the reviews that said it’s all “beige and boring” are definitely reviewing a different book than the one I have. Mine is just full of beauty and color. It’s mostly pictures with just-enough descriptions to point out the things that aren’t so obvious in design decisions. That’s the way I like it since I don’t have the patience to read a wordy article for every picture they show. ... show more

  • Beautifully Done!
I initially bought this book to go on a new side table I purchased for my living room but the book was too big for it. I decided to move some other books I had on my coffee table and put this one in their place and I'm glad I did. It's such a beautiful book. I didn't buy it for the inside content, but I find myself looking at the pictures periodically. Such a well-crafted book. ... show more
