If you’re into decorating this is a fantastic book! Many pictures, examples, and they even tell you how large of a rug to buy with how much furniture you have! It helped me decide the size of rug I needed for my family room. There’s so many new ideas that came from this book! I just loved it!

I’ve been following Studio McGee for many years now and so happy to finally have a book from this designer! The book is impressive for the price. It’s thick with high quality paper and has a helpful and organized user’s guide at the end. The photography is beautiful as are the designs and vignettes on each page. I personally prefer more historic and traditional architecture and homes over the ultra modern designs with floor to ceiling black steel windows. I appreciate that this book does include a variety of architectural styles, so even though there are some spaces I don’t care for, there’s plenty of other pages that showcase the more traditional and historic look that I love. I also think that interior design as a whole is moving away from the trendy modern farmhouse and being replaced with a “modern cottage” look. I think Studio McGee does a good job of using transitional style to bridge that gap, and I really hope going forward they do more of the modern cottage because it is so pretty! The calming palette used in this book is tasteful and elegant and full of rich layers, details, and textures. And for those that prefer louder “pops” of colors, well this book and overall look probably isn’t for you. ... show more
