I wasn't sure if this was the real deal given these are sold for more money on AliExpress and they only come with a 1gb raspberry pi cm4. But i ordered and my unit came with everything in it and the 4gb cm4 core. As for the uconsole itself, amazing in some ways, unfortunate in others. The uconsole is made out of some thick aluminum and feels like no other device i own. Very solid. Its really easy to assemble and take apart. Which also makes it really easy to mod or repair. Short comings, it seems there's a lot of variability in the trackball between devices. Some people say its fine. My unit came with two and they were barely usable at first. I think it's cause the gears in it might have been a little dirty making them not grip the ball. Luckily a custom firmware was made for this device and it massively improved the issue. Very easy to install. Not the best controlling device but you can easily buy a replacement, open it to clean it, or get a different ball. The keyboard at the moment is good enough. Some keys need a bit more force to register even if you feel the click. But it's an improvement over navigating a terminal on a phone or a small clamshell laptop. There's another mod i will probably get that adds a 3d printed layer to make the keyboard easier to press. I got standard batteries for it off Amazon and while it doesn't seem like it supports sleep, the batteries last plenty long enough that i don't mind just setting it down without turning it off. Otherwise i like it enough that I'm tempted to get a second with out the core for modding and using different cm cores ... show more

This what a pocket pc should be. Took almost no time to put together. YouTube made it look like it would be a project but after a few minutes I was screwing the last screw. Inserted the provided sd card ran my personal set up script since no one have time for installing stuff. And now a have a mini pc for work and play. For fun I decided to go to my old office building with a projector. Plugged thru console in and played street fighter onto a wall with the audio blasting from the cars speakers. The item was brand new, good shape, but did not show anything upon starting the device. The screen was completely black with a dimmed blacklight showing the machine was on, but showing nothing on the screen. ***UPDATE, the trackball FIX!!! I also got one with the "bad trackball". However I found there is a SOFTWARE fix for this and the stock trackball is fine (there are 2 trackball in the box, so you always have a spare, and new ones are plentiful for about $7). The listing is accurate, no gimmicks, and this is a legit item in brand new unassembled condition, sealed in the box. It arrived sooner than advertised, less than10 days. This is a HUGE difference from the 4+ month delay ordering directly from Clockwork. Assembly is very easy, fun, and the directions are clear. You'll be up and running in about 20 minutes. No soldering, crazy flashing, or firmware hacking required. The little tool required for assembly is included as well. There is nothing needed to complete this uConsole, which seems to be the case with so many other 'project kits'. It CAN be upgraded to the Pi CM5 whenever you want, as the adapter board is included. The top spec Wifi-4G version is actually cheaper, and even though I'm not using 4G on mine at this point, it's nice to know the option is there. ... show more
