Great move from my first U-Turn turntable. This was also the first with a preamp built in. I was expecting to need to tweak it a ton but the preamp is pumping out solid volume and with an improved tone arm and cartridge you do catch a lot more. The grooved acrylic platter means easier installation of the belt remedying what was a maddening chore before. If you’re afraid of the Quality versus Budget valley, I can appreciate that. Spending more was a risk but I should have known this is a quality product from a quality company. The bump up made me happy to try this level of performance for a bit and so far so very very good. ... show more

We upgraded from an Audio Technica. This is a great upgrade. The switching from 33rpm to 45rpm is a bit weird , but you get used to it quick (move the belt from one groove to another). Looks great, sounds great. Buy it.

I was a little disappointed bc this isn’t a HUGE upgrade over the last turntable I had which was half the price. The needle could definitely have been upgraded. Looks really good though.
