These are solidly made. Safe for oil, nonpotable water, gasoline ( not compressed flammable gas such as propane nor LPG ... no idea what their burst strength is ). 1/4" NPT male threads seem to be undersized, this fitting threaded all the way up into female fittings without seating. Didn't seem safe to use for my propane gas line application. Not worth the hassle of returning, though. The brass material was very clean, and the machining looked great.
